First, try hard resetting your Kurzweil (you will lose any custom setups you’ve created).<\/p>\n
Setup 126 is called “Internal Voices”. When in Internal Voices mode, the PC2 looks to this setup for controller info.<\/p>\n
By default, the Internal Voices setup has Pedal 1 (CC pedal) assigned to MIDI controller number 11, expression, which is essentially the same as volume. So, all of the internal voices should respond to CC pedal 1 as volume.<\/p>\n
With Setups, you have to edit each one, zone by zone, to respond to CC-1 for expression. Some are already programmed to do this by default, but if your customer is listening to brass and strings as part of a setup, then he needs to edit the setup, and assign pedal 1 to MIDI controller 11, expression.<\/p>\n
However, if he is listening to brass and strings from Internal Voices mode, then the CC pedal should be controlling expression (volume).<\/p>\n
Think of any of the Internal Voices as a one-zone-setup, looking at setup 126 for “how to act”.<\/p>\n
The PC2R (rack) looks to setup 125, PC2R Control” for”how to act”.<\/p>\n
