For instance, if you&#8217;re doing ADR, it would be desirable to set the time signature to 3\/4 and have Pro Tools give 3 clicks before dropping into record to cue talent. It seems that even in slip mode, Pro Tools is still referencing the cursor&#8217;s proximity to the bar\/beat grid.In grid mode this is good because no matter which beat you&#8217;re on, you always get a full measure, plus any additional beats before it goes into record. For example, if the cursor is on beat 2 in 3\/4 time, you&#8217;ll get 3 +1 clicks (a full measure + 1 beat).Slip mode is designed for &#8220;free&#8221; editing so the count off should be free of any grid constraints. If you&#8217;re in 3\/4 you should get 3 clicks.Currently, this is the way Pro Tools works.
