Input 1 picks up the left side of the kit, and Input 2 picks up the right side.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\nEnable Phantom Power<\/h3>\n\n\n\n IMPORTANT<\/strong>: Always<\/span><\/em> connect condenser microphones to the module before turning on phantom power and always<\/strong> turn off phantom power before disconnecting condenser microphones.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThe EAD50 module can provide phantom power to any condenser microphone you connect. You must enable phantom power, however, which is done per input.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Auto Gain Calibration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n Automatically calibrating the microphone is useful because it will pick up all your drums and adjust the levels to your dynamic range. This is especially useful in situations where bleed may be an issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Press \u201cExit<\/strong>\u201dto return to the Volume menu.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\nAdjust Trigger Settings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n Adjusting the trigger settings on the EAD50 is critical when you\u2019re working with any connected drum or cymbal pads. Even the DSU50 requires some adjustment. If you don\u2019t adjust the trigger settings, then you may encounter false triggering and the overall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Record Audio & MIDI<\/h2>\n\n\n\n You can record audio from your EAD50 directly to the module, to your computer, or to your mobile device using the Yamaha Rec\u2019N\u2019Share app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To record, press the Recorder <\/strong>buttonand thenpress \u201cRec<\/strong>.\u201d Press \u201cRec<\/strong>\u201d again to stop.<\/li>By default, audio will be recorded to internal storage. It will switch to external storage when you connect the storage device.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\nTransfer Audio Files to External Storage<\/h4>\n\n\n\n Recordings saved on internal memory will be erased when you turn off the module, so be sure to back up anything to either an SD card or a USB thumb drive beforehand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Insert an SD card or connect a USB thumb drive to the USB To Device <\/em>port.<\/li>Press MENU<\/strong>, navigate to File<\/strong>, select \u201cFile Wave<\/strong>,\u201d and choose \u201cSave<\/strong>.\u201d<\/li>Press Name <\/strong>to name the file then press Exit <\/strong>to return to the Save <\/strong>screen.<\/li>Press Enter<\/strong> and then press Yes <\/strong>to save the file.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\nRecording to a DAW<\/h3>\n\n\n\n The EAD50 can be used as either a 2-in\/2-out or an 8-in\/10-out interface. You will need to update a few settings on the module beforehand, though. Also, make sure to download and install the driver before connecting it to your computer!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
