In this guide, we will show you how to register, set up, and connect them for the first time. This guide covers all interfaces for the Quantum LT and HD series. Follow the sections below to get started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li><a href=\"#Register-the-Interface\"><strong>Register the Interface<\/strong><\/a><ul><li><a href=\"#Download-and-Install-Fender-Universal-Control\"><strong>Download and Install Fender Universal Control<\/strong><\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><a href=\"#Setup-and-Connections\"><strong>Setup and Connections<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"#Re-Amping-on-the-Fender-Studio-Quantum-HD\">Re-Amping on the Fender Studio Quantum HD<\/a><\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Register-the-Interface\">Register the Interface<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before setting up your Quantum audio interface, you must register it with Fender. Once registered, you\u2019ll receive a free six-month subscription to Fender Studio Pro+ and gain access to Universal Control, drivers, and documentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Log in to your <a href=\"https:\/\/my.fender.com\/login\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fender account<\/a>. Before setting up the interface, you must download and install Fender Universal Control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Go to your Quantum product page on the Fender website, scroll down to <em>Software <\/em>and click on the latest version for your OS.<ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fender.com\/products\/quantum-lt-2-usb-c-audio-interface\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>LT-2<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fender.com\/products\/quantum-lt-4-usb-c-audio-interface\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>LT-4<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fender.com\/products\/quantum-lt-16-usb-c-audio-interface\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>LT-16<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fender.com\/products\/quantum-hd-2-usb-c-audio-interface\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>HD-2<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fender.com\/products\/quantum-hd-8-usb-c-audio-interface\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>HD-8<\/strong><\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Navigate to your <em>Downloads <\/em>folder, locate the installer, and launch it. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Setup-and-Connections\">Setup and Connections<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Now that you\u2019ve registered your interface and installed the software, it\u2019s time to get set up. Setting up the Quantum LT and Quantum HD is simple. With a few simple connections, you\u2019ll be up and running in no time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Connect the included USB cable from the Quantum interface to your computer.<\/li><li>Turn on the interface, making sure all output connections are turned down.<ul><li>If a new firmware update is available, you will be prompted to install it.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Connect your guitar to the 1\/4-inch jack on the front inputs. If you\u2019re recording vocals or a stereo instrument, use the input connections on the back.<\/li><li>Connect condenser microphones before pressing the 48V button (enabling phantom power). Disconnect the microphone after turning off 48V.<\/li><li>Connect your monitor speakers to the Main L and R.<\/li><li>Once everything is connected, adjust your levels as needed. To make it easy, you can use the Auto Gain feature to get the perfect level no matter what instrument you\u2019re recording!<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4>Quantum HD Digital Connections<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Fender Studio Quantum HD interfaces feature digital connections that let you expand your setup even further. They also come with a proprietary DB-9 cable that serves as both a MIDI and S\/PDIF connection. In addition, the Quantum HD 8 also has Word Clock I\/O. Re-amping is the process of recording a dry track and then rerecording by sending the signal through an amp or an effects chain.
