Electro-Harmonix released the app after the two hardware units were released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The app makes it easy for you to update the firmware in the POG3 and Oceans Abyss to fix bugs and get the latest features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can program all the parameters of a preset on your standalone POG3 or Oceans Abyss, but this requires some \u201cmenu diving\u201d as you can\u2019t see all the parameters on the front panel of the pedal at once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is where the EHXport app\u2019s editor view comes in handy. Using the app on your computer, you can see all the parameters of a preset at once, including the \u201cfine tuning\u201d parameters in the menus on the display. Select \u201cRegister Your Product.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enter the serial number on your product\u2019s box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Download-the-Owner\u2019s-Manual\"><strong>Download the Owner\u2019s Manual<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The POG3 and the Oceans Abyss are easy to navigate, but to understand all the features, you\u2019ll need the latest copy of the owner\u2019s manual. Download them from their respective product pages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ehx.com\/products\/pog3\/#more\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">POG3<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ehx.com\/products\/oceans-abyss\/#more\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Oceans Abyss<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>On either page, click on \u201cMore Details,\u201d and under \u201cSpecifications\u201d you\u2019ll see \u201cOwner\u2019s Manual\u201d with a clickable download button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Download-the-EHXport-App-&amp;-Pro-Presets-Bundle\"><strong>Download the EHXport App &amp; Pro Presets Bundle<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On your Mac or Windows PC, download your version of the EHXport app in the same fashion as the manual. It\u2019s under More Details &gt; Specifications &gt; Download App.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Go to your Downloads folder, unzip the archive, and run the installer app, following the prompts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The same EHXport app works with both the POG3 and the Oceans Abyss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the POG3, Electro-Harmonix provides the free Pro Presets Bundle, a library of presets created by Bill Ruppert and Tom Burda. You can load these presets into the POG3 through the EHXport app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Download the Pro Presets Bundle from the link on the left pane of the POG3 product page. Then go to your Downloads folder and unzip the archive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Connecting-Your-Pedal-to-the-EHXport-App\"><strong>Connecting Your Pedal to the EHXport App<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Power your POG3 or Oceans Abyss pedal using an external power supply as usual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Connect your unit to your computer using a USB-C data cable and an adapter as needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Launch the EHXport app. It will detect your unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Update-Your-Pedal\u2019s-Firmware\"><strong>Update Your Pedal\u2019s Firmware<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#fff5c7\"><strong>IMPORTANT<\/strong>:&nbsp;Be patient during the firmware update as it may take several minutes. Do not power off or touch any of the settings on your POG3 or Oceans Abyss during the update. Do not quit the EHXport app, disconnect the USB cable, or turn off your computer. Wait until the messages in the app and on the display of your POG3 or Oceans Abyss inform you that the update has been completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your pedal won\u2019t be fully compatible with the current version of the EHXport app unless it\u2019s running the latest firmware. Fortunately, the EHXport app has a firmware update function, so that\u2019s the first part of the app you will use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the app, click on \u201cDevice Settings\/Firmware.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The app will display the current version of the firmware on your unit and inform you if there\u2019s an update available. You should always keep your unit updated to the newest version.
