Mackie Thump GO Setup & Connections<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The Thump GO is a great speaker that can be used not only as a PA speaker but also as a personal monitor. Setup is simple, so you\u2019ll have more time gigging and less time worrying about setup and tear-down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- Plug the speaker into a power source. If the LED flashes green, then that means it\u2019s charging and must be connected while performing. If the green LED is solid, then it means the device is fully charged.
- Keep the speaker on a level surface and, if you\u2019re using a stand, make sure it\u2019s fastened securely.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
- Connect your sound sources. Ensure the levels are turned down all the way when making your connections.
- When using an audio mixer, connect the mixer\u2019s output to the Mackie Thump GO Channel 1 (CH1) input.<\/li>
- If you have two Mackie Thump GOs, then connect a cable from the THRU jack on one to the CH1 input on the other.<\/li>
- The Mackie Thump GO does not provide phantom power, so you must use an external phantom power supply or a mixer with phantom power enabled to connect a condenser microphone.<\/li>
- When connecting a microphone to CH1, press the Line\/Mic switch<\/strong> to select the Mic position. This ensures the input is set for the appropriate signal level.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
- Once you\u2019ve made your connections, turn on the speaker(s). If you are using a mixer and\/or subwoofer, then turn those on first to reduce the risk of loud pops.<\/li>
- Begin playing at performance volume and adjust the levels as necessary.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
Thump Connect 2 App<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Thump Connect 2 allows you to control virtually everything on the Thump GO speaker remotely. This is perfect in situations where multiple musicians use the speaker or if you\u2019re streaming music and need to adjust the level while you\u2019re away from it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- Turn on Bluetooth on your smart device.<\/li>
- Download the Thump Connect 2 app from the Google Play Store (Android)<\/a> or App Store (iOS)<\/a>.<\/li>
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the speaker until it flashes. You will enter Bluetooth pairing mode.<\/li>
- Go to your smart device\u2019s Bluetooth settings, locate \u201cThump GO,\u201d and select it to pair.

Once you have the Thump GO set up and connected, you can launch the app and start controlling the speaker remotely! It\u2019s straightforward, too. Here are a few things to keep in mind when using Thump Connect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- The Bluetooth level is directly linked to the app. This means you can control the volume both on your device and through the app.
- Bluetooth levels are not linked on some older devices and may require manual adjustment both on your device and in the app.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
- Enable Outdoor Mode <\/em>when you\u2019re gigging outside. This will optimize the voicing for use outdoors.<\/li>
- Change the Speaker Voicing <\/em>according to how you\u2019re using the speaker.<\/li>
- Press Advanced <\/strong>to access additional options.
- Enable Auto-Connect <\/em>to have your device automatically connect to the Thump GO.<\/li><\/ul>
- If you have two Thump GO speakers, then press Speaker Link <\/strong>to sync them together. Please note that you can only pair one smart device via Bluetooth to enable syncing.<\/li><\/ul>
- Press Load Snapshot<\/strong> then press Store New Snapshot <\/strong>to save presets for later recall.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
