If your Walrus Audio pedal has a USB-C port, then you have a model with updatable firmware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We recommend that you update your Walrus Audio pedal to the newest firmware whenever you find out that a new version is available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Walrus Audio provides a cloud-based app for updating firmware that runs in Google Chrome on your Mac or Windows PC. When you connect your pedal to your computer using a USB-C data cable, open Google Chrome and go to <a href=\"https:\/\/walrusaudio.io\/devices\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WalrusAudio.io<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong><a href=\"#Supported-Walrus-Audio-Pedals\">Supported Walrus Audio Pedals<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"#Connect-Your-Pedal-and-Update-the-Firmware\">Connect Your Pedal &amp; If you are on macOS, then you\u2019ll be prompted to permit the unit to connect to your Mac.<\/li><li>Open Google Chrome. Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/walrusaudio.io\/devices\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">walrusaudio.io<\/a>.<\/li><li>You\u2019ll see a dialog asking you to grant permission for Chrome to connect to your device over MIDI.<\/li><li>At the Welcome screen, log in to your existing Walrus Audio account or sign up for a new one.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f3f2f1\"><strong>NOTE<\/strong>: The particular steps you need to follow will depend on which model you are using. In this example, we\u2019re using the Walrus Canvas Tuner. In any case, follow the prompts in the web browser and the messages displayed on your Walrus Audio unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>On the webpage, click to indicate whether your unit is in the Mako, Canvas, or MDSP Series. <\/li><li>Select the name of your unit on the next screen.<\/li><li>You\u2019ll see a screen indicating, \u201cNot Connected.\u201d Click \u201c<strong>Request USB connection<\/strong>.\u201d<\/li><li>In the dialog that opens, select your device and click \u201c<strong>Connect<\/strong>.\u201d<\/li><li>When the webpage indicates your product is connected, click \u201c<strong>Firmware<\/strong>.\u201d<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The webpage will display the version of the firmware currently installed and give you a pull-down menu listing available versions. Select the latest version. Click \u201c<strong>Update firmware<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Follow the prompts in the web browser, which will give you specific steps to follow to complete the update on your model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#fff5c7\"><strong>IMPORTANT<\/strong>: When the new firmware is uploaded to your unit and the installation begins, you\u2019ll need to wait patiently until the process completes. It\u2019s important that you do not interrupt the update. Do not close the browser window; do not disconnect the USB cable; and do not disconnect the power to your unit until the messages in the web browser instruct you to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When the web browser tells you that the process is complete, after you follow the instructions to reboot your unit, the page should display the new firmware version running on your unit. This way, you can confirm that the update was installed correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Additional-Functions-in-the-WalrusAudio.io-Web-App\">Additional Functions in the WalrusAudio.io Web App<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/store\/detail\/CanvasTuner--walrus-audio-canvas-tuner-pedal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Canvas Tuner<\/a> pedal has the capability for you to upload your own graphics from your computer to be displayed in the Tuner\u2019s standby screen. You\u2019ll see an interface for this in the web app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/store\/detail\/ACS1AmpMk2--walrus-audio-mako-mkii-acs1-amp-and-cab-simulator-pedal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ACS1 Amp and Cab Simulator<\/a> enables you to upload your own speaker-cabinet impulse response files (IRs) from your computer to your unit.
