Once the interface is registered, you\u2019ll gain access to your product downloads, exclusive content, and bonus add-ons that may come with the device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/portal.blackstaramps.com\/uk\/Authentication\/Login\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Blackstar Login page<\/a> and enter your Blackstar account credentials.<ol><li>If you don\u2019t have a Blackstar account, then go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/portal.blackstaramps.com\/uk\/Authentication\/SignUp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">account registration page<\/a>. The Polar Go is class-compliant on Mac, meaning no additional driver software is necessary to operate the device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Install the Driver (PC Users Only)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Blackstar Polar Go uses proprietary audio drivers, so you must download them for the interface to function correctly on your Windows PC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/blackstaramps.com\/polar-go-welcome\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Polar GO Welcome page<\/a> then locate and download the Windows PC audio driver.<\/li><li>Navigate to your <strong>Downloads<\/strong> folder then locate and launch the installer file. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3>Download the Polar Go App<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The interface is compatible with every major mobile-device DAW, but you need to download the Polar Go companion app to gain full control over it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.yourcompany.polargo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Android (Google Play)<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/polar-go\/id6742934871?platform=iphone\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">iOS devices (App Store)<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Polar-Go-Setup-and-Connections\">Polar Go Setup and Connections<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f3f2f1\"><strong>NOTE<\/strong>: If you have an iPhone that uses a Lightning port, then you must use an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/store\/detail\/USBCtoLight--apple-usb-c-to-lightning-adapter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">official Apple USB-C to Lightning adapter<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Blackstar Polar Go audio interface has portability in mind, so the setup and connections are straightforward. Here are a few tips to get started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>If using a condenser microphone, then connect it to the Polar Go and press the <strong>48V <\/strong>button. When finished, press the <strong>48V <\/strong>button and then disconnect the microphone.<\/li><li>Use the USB port labeled \u201cUSB\u201d to connect to your computer; use the USB port labeled \u201cPOWER\u201d to connect to a power source.<\/li><li>The Input knob only adjusts the input gain. It does not affect the gain of the internal microphones, which can be adjusted in the Polar Go app.<\/li><li>The 3.5mm output jack uses a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/insync\/trrs\/\">TRRS<\/a> connection to ensure headphones with headset mics send and receive audio seamlessly.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Desktop\">Desktop<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f3f2f1\"><strong>NOTE<\/strong>: If you are a Windows PC user, then make sure to download and install the driver before connecting the interface to your computer!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using the Blackstar Polar Go in your DAW is simple. Connect the interface to your computer from the USB port, launch your DAW, and update its settings so Polar Go is set as the default recording and playback device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Direct monitoring on Polar Go is enabled by default. The app also has a built-in video camera to record yourself while performing!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Using-the-Polar-Go-App\">Using the Polar Go App<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#fff5c7\"><strong>IMPORTANT! <\/strong>Press the <strong>Disk <\/strong>icon to save your settings, especially if you turn the multitrack\/loopback function on or off. The settings will be saved in the interface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Polar Go app is where you will update various device settings \u2014 including the built-in mic\u2019s gain \u2014 adjust effects settings, change routing settings, and even access video recording when you want to record your stream or performance! You will also use the app to perform firmware updates and factory resets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The app has three tabs: Home, Camera, and Settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Home is where you will choose and adjust input settings such as level, EQ, clarity, and reverb.<ul><li>Tap the <strong>Magic Wand<\/strong> icon then drag the bar up and down to adjust all effects to a random amount.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>When you press Camera, you can record and adjust the video. Simply press the record button to start and stop recording.<ul><li>Video files will be saved to your gallery. This cannot be changed.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Settings is where you can change settings such as loopback, multitrack recording, and direct monitoring.<ul><li>Use <strong>Mic channel<\/strong> to change which mic you wish to use: the built-in microphones or a headset microphone (if one is connected).<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>You must enable multitrack recording in the app to direct monitor through your DAW.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Factory resets and firmware updates are performed here.
