A remote engineer can troubleshoot your setup and even mix your live show while monitoring the audio on their end, with low latency over a stable internet connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can get help in real time for live shows, broadcast, and remote collaboration. Your computer runs the Universal Control app. This system, the mixer and computer, are the <strong>host<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The remote computer that\u2019s connecting to your mixer from across the internet is the <strong>client<\/strong>. It\u2019s running its own copy of Universal Control, and has an audio interface connected. The remote engineer connecting to your system can control all aspects of your mixer from their computer screen within their copy of Universal Control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course you need a fast, stable internet connection on both ends. We strongly recommend that both computers are connected to a gigabit-speed router via an Ethernet cable rather than Wi-Fi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Security and Remote Access Permissions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Maintaining the security of your system is important. You, the mixing engineer on site with your StudioLive mixer, must grant access to a remote engineer through a three-stage permission system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both you and the remote engineer must have accounts through the MyPreSonus website. While both of you are logged in to the site, you (as the host) can enable remote access to your system, and then send an invitation to the remote engineer to grant them access.
