Although it still isn\u2019t a part of every PC, it\u2019s important to know if your computer is running the x86\/64 version of Windows or if it\u2019s running Windows on Arm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Manufacturers are still developing Arm-compatible software, so this guide will show you different ways to check whether your PC is running Windows on Arm.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li><a href=\"#Is-the-Software-Emulated-or-Arm-Native\"><strong>Is the Software Emulated or Arm Native?<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"#How-to-Check-if-You-Have-a-Windows-on-Arm-or-an-x86-PC\">How to Check if You Have a Windows on Arm or an x86 PC<\/a><\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Is-the-Software-Emulated-or-Arm-Native\">Is the Software Emulated or Arm Native?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If your computer has Windows on Arm, any software you run might be Arm Native or running on Windows emulation. This is important to know because if software is emulated, you may run into glitches, and you will need to check to see if there\u2019s an Arm Native or Windows emulated version of the software you\u2019re using.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Go to <em>Task Manager<\/em>.<\/li><li>Click <strong>Details <\/strong>(<em>List <\/em>icon) and look at the <em>Architecture<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"How-to-Check-if-You-Have-a-Windows-on-Arm-or-an-x86-PC\">How to Check if You Have a Windows on Arm or an x86 PC<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are a few ways to check if you have a Windows on Arm or an x86-based PC.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Check the hardware specifications on the computer manufacturer\u2019s website or the store page where you bought your computer.<\/li><li>Computers with Snapdragon X series chips, including the Snapdragon X Elite and the X Plus, will often be Windows on Arm.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you don\u2019t own one of the computers listed above, then there are a few ways to check if your computer is running Windows on Arm. Some methods can be complicated, so the easiest way is to check <em>About This PC <\/em>and <em>System Information<\/em> to verify if your computer has Windows on Arm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>About This PC<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Go to the taskbar, begin typing <em>About<\/em>, and click <strong>About your PC.<\/strong><\/li><li>Click <strong>System Summary<\/strong> on the left side of the window, then look for <em>System Type<\/em>.
