Upon registration, you\u2019ll receive a free extended warranty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Log in to your <a href=\"https:\/\/warranty.rode.com\/login\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RODE account<\/a>. If you don\u2019t have one yet, you can create one <a href=\"https:\/\/warranty.rode.com\/register\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/li><li>Go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/warranty.rode.com\/registration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">product registration page<\/a>, use the drop-down box, and scroll to <em>RODECaster Video<\/em> (located within <em>Interfaces<\/em>). Make sure to use the factory-supplied USB cable!<\/li><li>Launch RODE Central. HDMI are assigned to buttons 1\u20134, and USB 4 and 5 are assigned to buttons 5 and 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Depending on the mode selected, the buttons will function differently. If the buttons are assigned and you are in <em>Instant <\/em>mode, they will switch to the programmed input during the livestream. If you\u2019re in <em>Studio <\/em>mode, they will switch to the programmed input in the Preview feed.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s how to assign the buttons to sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Press the <strong>Inspect <\/strong>button, then press the <strong>input<\/strong>button you want to adjust.<\/li><li>Press the <strong>input selection box<\/strong> on the touchscreen display, use the encoder to navigate through the inputs, and then press the encoder to confirm. Once the buttons assigned, press the <strong>Inspect <\/strong>button.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Scene-Selection\">Scene Selection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can select scenes by using the Scene Selection buttons (A\u2013G). Scenes are collections of multiple sources you can customize to fit your production. For example, you can customize a scene with just one camera and another scene with multiple cameras and a background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Function-Buttons\">Function Buttons<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are four <em>Function<\/em> buttons. Each button will control a specific function of the RODECaster Video. From top to bottom, the buttons are <em>Media<\/em>, <em>Overlay<\/em>, <em>Multisource<\/em>, and <em>Keying<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Media<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The <em>Media <\/em>button lets you access any images, sounds, and videos that are loaded onto the included SD card and assigned to one of the Scene Selection (A\u2013G) buttons. When pressed, pads turn purple, and Scene Selection turns into Media Selection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Overlay<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f3f2f1\"><strong>NOTE: <\/strong>You can only have one active overlay at a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <em>Overlay<\/em> button lets you access images loaded from the included SD card and assigned to one of the Scene Selection (A\u2013G) buttons. When pressed, the pads turn light blue, and the loaded images can be placed on both the existing and preview feeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>&nbsp;Multisource<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Multisource button lets you create multisource scenes, like picture-in-picture or split-screen configurations. When you press the <em>Multisource <\/em>button, the input buttons will turn yellow, and the multisource layout options will be on the touchscreen display, where you can create a scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Keying<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The bottom button, <em>Keying<\/em>, will apply a chroma key (blue or green screen) to the <em>Preview<\/em> feed in Studio mode or the <em>Program <\/em>feed while in Instant mode. This will allow the object to be in front of loaded videos, images, and other input sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, press the <strong>Input<\/strong> button to which you want to apply the chroma key, then press the <strong>Keying <\/strong>button to apply the key. Once a chroma key is applied to the input selected, it will automatically be saved to that source.
