Upon registering the kit, you\u2019ll gain access to Roland support, training videos, an extended warranty, and drum clinic information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Log in to your&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.roland.com\/backstage\/login\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Roland Backstage account<\/a>. Depending on your model of TD-07, setup and assembly may differ slightly, but the concept is the same. Check out the videos from Roland to learn how to assemble your kit! This video shows how to assemble the TD-07KV, but the process is similar with other models. Check out our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/articles\/set-up-electronic-drum-set\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">electronic drum setup guide<\/a> to learn more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are a few tips for setting up your electronic kit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/c817--Cable_Organizers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hook-and-loop cable ties <\/a>to secure the cabling to the drum rack and to keep the wiring harness neat. This will also ensure that the cables don\u2019t get tangled up.<\/li><li>Place the TD-07 kit on a carpet or a drum rug. If you\u2019re not sure how to navigate your mobile device settings, check out our Android and iOS guides to learn more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Press the <strong>Bluetooth<\/strong> button on the module, use the <strong>&lt;<\/strong> and <strong>&gt;<\/strong> buttons to choose <em>BT MIDI<\/em>, and use the dial to turn Bluetooth on.<\/li><li>Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device, but don\u2019t pair the device yet!<\/li><li>Launch the Bluetooth- and MIDI-capable app, go back to your mobile device\u2019s Bluetooth settings, and complete the pairing process.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Working-with-the-TD-07-Module\">Working with the TD-07 Module<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Now that everything is set up and connected, it\u2019s time to sit down and start playing!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Adjust-Pad-Settings\">Adjust Pad Settings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>While the factory pad settings are a great starting point, not all drummers have the same play style, so taking time to adjust the settings will set you up for success. This affects how sensitive the hi-hat\u2019s open-and-close function sounds when using the pedal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Turn on the module. Make sure the hi-hat pad isn\u2019t resting on the motion sensor.<\/li><li>Once the module is turned on, loosen the hi-hat clutch. Let the pad rest on the motion sensor.<\/li><li>Press the <strong>GEAR (SETTINGS) <\/strong>button, use the <strong>&lt; <\/strong>and <strong>&gt; <\/strong>buttons to navigate to <em>PAD<\/em>, and press the <strong>ENTER <\/strong>button.<\/li><li>Strike the hi-hat pad, use the <strong>&lt; <\/strong>and <strong>&gt; <\/strong>buttons to navigate to <em>VH Set<\/em>, then press the <strong>ENTER <\/strong>button.<\/li><li>Use the black offset screw and follow the on-screen prompts. If the display shows<em> Turn screw L<\/em>, turn the offset screw clockwise. If it says <em>Turn screw R<\/em>, turn it counterclockwise.<\/li><li>Once you see <em>OK! <\/em>on the display, tighten the clutch screw. The high-hat offset adjustment should be at approximately 80. Press the <strong>DRUM <\/strong>button to exit out of the <em>Settings<\/em> menu.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Create-a-Custom-Kit\">Create a Custom Kit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f3f2f1\"><strong>TIP: <\/strong>Any change you make to the kit is automatically saved and will be stored, even if you exit out of a specific menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The TD07 module holds 143 samples that can be assigned to any kit. You can then save custom kits to one of the 25 user kit slots available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Press the <strong>DRUM KIT (KIT EDIT)<\/strong> button, then use the dial to navigate to an empty user kit slot.<\/li><li>Press the <strong>DRUM (SAMPLE EDIT)<\/strong> button to the right of the metronome, use the <strong>&lt;<\/strong> and <strong>&gt;<\/strong> buttons to navigate to <em>Instruments<\/em>, and press the <strong>ENTER<\/strong> button.<\/li><li>Strike the pad you want to change, then turn the knob to adjust the sound.
