Nano Cortex NanoOS 2.2.0 Firmware Update<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
On November 26, 2025, Neural DSP released a new firmware update, NanOS 2.2.0<\/a> which expands the capabilities of the Nano Cortex yet again. This free update adds support for loading and playing higher-definition Neural Capture Version 2 captures created on Quad Cortex. Neural provides 669 V2 captures across 41 device types to the Cortex Cloud profile, any of which can be downloaded to your Nano Cortex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
NanoOS 2.2.0 now adds cloud-based data backup for your Nano Cortex. Using the Cortex Cloud app version 2.8.0 you can make up to five complete backups of all your data to the Neural DSP Cortex Cloud. You can restore your data from the cloud if anything goes wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You can now quickly audition hundreds of Captures and IRs from the Cortex Cloud on your Nano Cortex through the Cortex Cloud app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nano Cortex NanOS 2.0.0 Firmware Update<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
On April 23, 2025, Neural DSP released the firmware update to NanOS 2.0.0<\/a>, which vastly expanded the capabilities and usefulness of the Nano Cortex, with 47 new effects and utilities, fully-customizable Pre- and Post-Effect slots, a separate input gate at the front, and a new Global Cab Bypass mode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neural provides the Nano Cortex User Manual online<\/a>. You can view it in your web browser. It also contains a Quick Start Guide section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using its front-panel controls, you can start using your Nano Cortex by itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, to access all the features, you\u2019ll need to install the Neural<\/strong> Cortex Cloud app<\/strong> on your iPad, your iPhone, or your Android device. The app makes it extremely easy to program and control your Nano Cortex, to make presets, and to share and download new Neural Captures and impulse response (IR) files. When you are ready to make your own amp captures, the app will walk you through the capture process with on-screen instructions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
