A firmware update fixes bugs and may provide new features. IK Multimedia makes updating easy when you connect the TONEX ONE to the TONEX Editor app on your Mac or your Windows PC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li><strong><a href=\"#Register-Your-Purchase-and-Download-the-Apps\">Register Your Purchase and Download the Apps<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"#Update-the-Firmware\">Update the Firmware<\/a><\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Register-Your-Purchase-and-Download-the-Apps\">Register Your Purchase and Download the Apps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Updating the firmware on the TONEX ONE requires using the TONEX Editor app on your Mac or Windows PC. It\u2019s &nbsp;one of the apps you download when you register the pedal with IK Multimedia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Log into your&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ikmultimedia.com\/userarea\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IK Multimedia account<\/a>. If you don\u2019t have an account yet, click the Register button and fill out the necessary information to create a new account.<\/li><li>Download and install&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ikmultimedia.com\/products\/productmanager\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IK Product Manager<\/a>&nbsp;for your OS.<\/li><li>Once installed, launch the app, then log in using your IK Multimedia account credentials.<\/li><li>Once logged in, click&nbsp;<strong>Manage My Products<\/strong>, select&nbsp;<strong>Register Product<\/strong>, then enter the serial number of your TONEX ONE found on the card inside the box.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3>Authorize and download the software<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After registering your TONEX pedal, AmpliTube and the necessary TONEX software will be available to authorize and download. You also receive one free copy of select IK Multimedia instruments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Within IK Multimedia Product Manager, click&nbsp;<strong>Software.<\/strong><ul><li>If you\u2019re a Windows PC user, click&nbsp;<strong>Driver&nbsp;<\/strong>to download and install the dedicated ASIO driver.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Select the TONEX software and click&nbsp;<strong>Install<\/strong>. Once the download is complete, the installer should launch automatically.<\/li><li>Under the TONEX software entry, click the <strong>Manuals<\/strong> tab. Download the newest owner\u2019s manuals. This is important because with major new versions of the TONEX apps and firmware, IK provides updated owner\u2019s manuals that explain the new features.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/media\/2023\/03\/TONEX-software-download.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"800\" height=\"875\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/media\/2023\/03\/TONEX-software-download.jpg\" alt=\"TONEX software download\" class=\"wp-image-1785324\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/media\/2023\/03\/TONEX-software-download.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/media\/2023\/03\/TONEX-software-download-274x300.jpg 274w, https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/media\/2023\/03\/TONEX-software-download-768x840.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>Installing the TONEX software<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IK Multimedia provides three apps for working with TONEX products:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The <strong>TONEX Editor<\/strong> app is for managing and controlling your TONEX hardware.<\/li><li>The <strong>TONEX Modeler<\/strong> app is used to capture rigs and create Tone Models.<\/li><li>The <strong>Amplitube TONEX<\/strong> app is a standalone application to play, capture, organize and transfer Tone Models.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you don\u2019t see the <strong>TONEX Editor<\/strong> app on your Mac or Windows PC, go back to IK Multimedia Product Manager, log in to your account, and click the Software tab. You\u2019ll be notified that there is an update to the TONEX software for you to install.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Update-the-Firmware\">Update the Firmware<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/media\/2024\/05\/TONEX-ONE-Firmware-Update-Detail.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"451\" height=\"311\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/media\/2024\/05\/TONEX-ONE-Firmware-Update-Detail.jpg\" alt=\"TONEX ONE Firmware Update\" class=\"wp-image-1781352\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/media\/2024\/05\/TONEX-ONE-Firmware-Update-Detail.jpg 451w, https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/media\/2024\/05\/TONEX-ONE-Firmware-Update-Detail-300x207.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 451px) 100vw, 451px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>The TONEX Editor app indicates that a firmware update is available for the TONEX ONE<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Connect your TONEX Pedal to the computer using the USB data cable and an adapter, if necessary. Power the TONEX Pedal with an external power supply.<\/li><li>Launch the <strong>TONEX Editor<\/strong> app.<\/li><li>Click in the upper right corner of the window to open up\u00a0<strong>the Account tab<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Under the\u00a0<em>Account<\/em>\u00a0tab, click\u00a0<strong>Restore Purchases<\/strong>. This will log you in to ToneNet under your IK user account.<\/li><li>Close the\u00a0window.<\/li><li>You will be prompted if a firmware update is needed.<\/li><li>Click\u00a0<strong>Update Firmware<\/strong>. The process takes a minute or two, so don\u2019t disconnect the pedal!<\/li><li>Once the process is complete, you will be prompted to close the window.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>After you upgrade the firmware, make sure to download the<strong>&nbsp;new versions of the owner\u2019s manuals for your TONEX Pedal<\/strong>. They will have information on using the newest features enabled by the firmware and the new version of the TONEX app on your computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>In IK Product Manager, click&nbsp;<em>Hardware<\/em>.<\/li><li>Under your unit, click the&nbsp;<em>Manuals<\/em>&nbsp;tab. You will see the new manuals with a version number and a release date.<\/li><li>Download each new manual.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If you are on Windows,<\/strong>&nbsp;check to see if there is a&nbsp;<strong>new version of the ASIO driver<\/strong>, which you will need to install.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>In IK Product Manager, click on&nbsp;<strong>Hardware<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Under your unit, click the&nbsp;<strong>Drivers\/Firmware<\/strong>&nbsp;tab. Drivers will be listed by version number and release date.<\/li><li>Download the newest version and run the installer.
