The Positive Grid Spark LIVE is a 4-channel amp and PA system in one enclosure, with an optional battery. With its traditional-looking knobs, the Spark LIVE may appear to be an old-school portable PA. However, it\u2019s designed to be controlled from your iPhone, iPad, or Android device using the Spark app<\/strong>, which opens a world of flexibility with effects, amp models, and other features.     Update the Spark LIVE Firmware<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Positive Grid provides firmware updates that fix bugs and may add new features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    When you set up your new Spark LIVE, Positive Grid recommends that you update the firmware first. To do this you need to connect your Spark LIVE to your computer and download the Spark LIVE firmware updater app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Now that you have updated the firmware, let’s keep going.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Register Your Purchase and Create an Account<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Take a moment to register your purchase with Positive Grid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Go to the Positive Grid home page<\/a> and click on the person icon in the upper-right corner.<\/li>
    2. Create a new account with an email address and a password, or log in to your existing account.<\/li>
    3. Once you log in and go to your account page, click on Register Now<\/strong> in the pane on the left under My Product > Hardware Device<\/strong>.<\/li>
    4. Select Spark LIVE<\/strong>, and fill out the requested information.<\/li>
    5. Enter the serial number. This is on a sticker on the outside of the box and is also found in extremely tiny print beneath the unit\u2019s power input jack.<\/li>
    6. Upload a copy or picture of your invoice.<\/li>
    7. Click the Next<\/strong> button and follow the prompts to complete registration.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      You will want a copy of the full user manual for reference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Go to the Positive Grid Spark LIVE support page<\/a>. Under How to (User manual)<\/strong>, click on Spark LIVE User Manual<\/a>.<\/li>
      2. On the manual page, select the newest version and download it.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Download the Spark App<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        Before you hook up any instruments to the Spark LIVE, set up the Spark app<\/strong> on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device and connect it to the Spark LIVE via Bluetooth. The app provides a great deal of essential features that you can\u2019t access from the knobs on the Spark LIVE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Connect the Spark app to the Spark LIVE<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
        1. On your phone, enable Bluetooth. Power on the Spark LIVE.<\/li>
        2. Download the Positive Grid Spark app on the Apple App Store<\/a> or the Google Play store<\/a>.<\/li>
        3. Open the app and follow the prompts.<\/li>
        4. Tap the Bluetooth pairing button on the back of the Spark LIVE.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          There is a second Bluetooth pairing procedure to enable the Spark app to stream audio to the Spark LIVE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          1. Tap the Bluetooth pairing button on the back panel <\/a>of the Spark LIVE.<\/li>
          2. In your device\u2019s Bluetooth settings, pair with the device named \u201cSpark LIVE Audio.\u201d<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
