Let\u2019s get started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li><strong><a href=\"#How-to-Connect-AirPods-to-an-iPhone\">How to Connect AirPods to an iPhone<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"#How-to-Connect-AirPods-to-a-Mac\">How to Connect AirPods to Mac<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"#How-to-Pair-AirPods-to-Android-Devices\">Connecting AirPods to Android Devices<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"#How-to-Reset-AirPods\">How to Reset AirPods<\/a><\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"How-to-Connect-AirPods-to-an-iPhone\">How to Connect AirPods to an iPhone<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Pairing your AirPods to an iPhone is straightforward. If you\u2019re running a newer iOS version (iOS 10 or above) and Bluetooth is enabled, pairing AirPods to an iPhone couldn\u2019t be easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f2f1f0\"><strong>NOTE<\/strong>: AirPods should connect automatically to any compatible iOS device that you\u2019re signed in to with your Apple ID.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Press the\u00a0<strong>Settings<\/strong>\u00a0icon on your iPhone\u2019s home screen, choose Bluetooth, and toggle it to turn on.<\/li><li>Depending on the AirPod model, do the following, then follow the on-screen instructions.<ul><li><strong>AirPods <\/strong>(<strong>1<sup>st<\/sup>\u20133rd Gen<\/strong>)<strong> and AirPods Pro<\/strong>: Open the AirPod charging case with the AirPods still inside. Hold it next to your iPhone.<\/li><li><strong>AirPods Max<\/strong>: Take the AirPods out of their charging case. Hold them near your iPhone.<\/li><li>Press\u00a0<strong>Done<\/strong>.<\/li><li><strong>AirPods Max<\/strong>: Return to the Bluetooth settings. Select AirPods Max if a prompt doesn\u2019t appear when holding them near your iPhone. Press and hold the Noise Control button if the White Status LED doesn\u2019t flash.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"How-to-Connect-AirPods-to-a-Mac\">How to Connect AirPods to a Mac<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Connecting your AirPods to a Mac is similar to pairing them to an iPhone. You\u2019re good to go as long as you enable Bluetooth on your Mac.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Open your AirPods case with the AirPods still inside.<\/li><li>Press and hold the button on the back of the case until the white LED begins flashing. This indicates that your AirPods are in pairing mode.<ul><li><strong>AirPod Max users<\/strong>: Press and hold the Noise Cancel Control button until the white LED begins flashing.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>On your Mac, navigate to the\u00a0<strong>Apple<\/strong>\u00a0menu, select\u00a0<strong>Systems Settings<\/strong>, navigate to Bluetooth, and toggle it on.<\/li><li>Locate the AirPods in the list of available devices. Click\u00a0<strong>Connect<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3>My AirPods Aren\u2019t Pairing on iPhone or Mac<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#ffcfd3\"><strong>IMPORTANT!\u00a0<\/strong>Before you go further, make sure your AirPods and your AirPod case are charged!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your AirPods aren\u2019t connecting to your iPhone after following the instructions above, you may need to connect them manually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>iPhone and iPad<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Open the charging case with the AirPods still inside.<\/li><li>Press and hold the button on the back of the case until the white LED begins flashing. This indicates that your AirPods are in pairing mode.<\/li><li>Navigate to your&nbsp;<em>Bluetooth<\/em>&nbsp;settings, scan for available Bluetooth devices, and connect your AirPods.<\/li><li>If you still have issues, visit&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-us\/HT207974\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Apple\u2019s support page<\/a>&nbsp;for more information.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4>Mac<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Open your charging case with the AirPods still inside. (Make sure they\u2019re charging!)<\/li><li>Check that Bluetooth is turned<strong>\u00a0ON<\/strong>.<ul><li>If your AirPods are connected, ensure they\u2019re set as the primary playback device.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>If they aren\u2019t connecting, remove them as a Bluetooth device (click\u00a0<strong>X<\/strong>), close the charging case for 15 seconds, then open the lid.<\/li><li>Press and hold the case\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Setup\u00a0<\/strong>button for 10 seconds or until you see the status light flashing white. This means they are in pairing mode.<\/li><li>Hold the case close to your Mac, open the case with the AirPods still inside, and follow the on-screen instructions.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"How-to-Pair-AirPods-to-Android-Devices\">How to Pair AirPods to Android Devices<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f2f1f0\"><strong>NOTE<\/strong>: Some AirPod features will not be available on Android devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Android detects AirPods as a standard Bluetooth device. So just:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Unlock your Android device, swipe down, and press the\u00a0<strong>Bluetooth<\/strong>\u00a0icon to turn it on.<ul><li>Press and hold the\u00a0<strong>Bluetooth<\/strong>\u00a0icon to open the Bluetooth settings.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Press\u00a0<strong>Pair new device<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Open the AirPod case, then press and hold the\u00a0<strong>Setup\u00a0<\/strong>button for five seconds, until the LED starts flashing white. This means your AirPods are in pairing mode.<ul><li><strong>AirPod Max<\/strong>: Press and hold the Noise Cancel Control button until the white LED begins flashing.<\/li><li>Once your AirPods appear as an available Bluetooth device, select it. Follow the instructions.<\/li><li>If your AirPods aren\u2019t showing up, turn Bluetooth off and on again.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Connecting-AirPods-to-PC\">Connecting AirPods to PC<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#ffcfd3\"><strong>IMPORTANT!\u00a0<\/strong>Make sure you fully charge your AirPods before pairing them to a PC!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like Android devices, Windows PCs treat AirPods as generic Bluetooth devices. Unlike iOS and Mac OS devices, your AirPods won\u2019t pair automatically. Thankfully, Microsoft has made it easy to pair AirPods to your PC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Open your AirPods case with the AirPods still inside.<\/li><li>Press and hold the button on the back of the case until the White LED begins flashing. This indicates that your AirPods are in pairing mode.<ul><li><strong>AirPod Max users<\/strong>: Press and hold the Noise Cancel Control button until the white LED begins flashing.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Open the\u00a0<em>Start\u00a0<\/em>menu (Windowsicon). Select\u00a0<strong>Settings.<\/strong><\/li><li>Select\u00a0Bluetooth. Toggle it\u00a0<strong>On<\/strong>.<\/li><li>In the\u00a0<em>Add a device\u00a0<\/em>window that opens, Click\u00a0<strong>Add device<\/strong>\u00a0and select\u00a0<strong>Bluetooth<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Select your AirPods once your Windows PC discovers them. You should receive a notification that says, \u201cYour device is ready to go!\u201d<\/li><li>Click\u00a0<strong>Done\u00a0<\/strong>to complete the process.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"I-Don\u2019t-Hear-Any-Audio!\">I Don\u2019t Hear Any Audio!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you don\u2019t hear any audio coming out of your AirPods once they are connected to your PC, it is likely because they aren\u2019t set as the default Playback device. Follow these instructions to learn how to set your AirPods as the default Playback deice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Windows 10:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Right-click the <strong>Speaker <\/strong>icon on the bottom right of the toolbar, then select <strong>Open Sound settings<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Use the <em>Output <\/em>dropdown. Select your AirPods as the default Playback device.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4>Windows 11:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Click the <strong>Speaker<\/strong> icon at the bottom right of the toolbar.<\/li><li>Click the <strong>Speaker<\/strong> icon on the <em>right <\/em>side of the pop-up, then select your AirPods as your default Playback device.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"How-to-Reset-AirPods\">How to Reset AirPods<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f2f1f0\"><strong>NOTE<\/strong>: When you reset your AirPods on an iOS device or a Mac, all AirPod settings will also be reset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your AirPods aren\u2019t showing up on any device, be it iPhone, Mac, Windows PC, or Android, you may need to reset your AirPods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Put the AirPods into the charging case, making sure the lid is closed, and wait for at least 30 seconds.<\/li><li>Open the case and remove your AirPods.<\/li><li>Go to your device\u2019s Bluetooth settings and forget your AirPods.<ul><li>If your AirPods aren\u2019t being displayed, continue to the next step.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Put your AirPods back in the charging case, leaving the case open.<\/li><li>Press and hold the\u00a0<strong>Setup\u00a0<\/strong>button until the status light in the case flashes amber and white.<\/li><li>Follow the pairing procedure for your device outlined above.<\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":1779532,"template":"","categories":[142726],"tags":[483136,483139,483140,483135,483142,483138,483141,483134,483137],"storecat":[],"itemids":[416250,416249,352264,304757,304756,304755,304754,304753,229217],"manufacturers":[],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v17.9 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"AirPods are some of the most popular earbuds on the market, so in this guide, we will show you how to pair them with iOS, Mac, Android, and Windows PC.
