You will receive an extended warranty if you register the drumlogue within 90 days of purchase. Keep your Sweetwater invoice handy; you\u2019ll need to provide some information during the registration process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Go to the Korg <a href=\"https:\/\/www.korgusa.com\/productregistration\/korg\">account login page<\/a> and enter your Korg account information. You will be prompted to enter a password if you don\u2019t have a Korg account.<\/li><li>Korg will send you an account confirmation email. Check your spam folder if you don\u2019t see it in your inbox!<\/li><li>Once you\u2019re logged in, click <strong>Register a Product<\/strong>. Korg periodically releases firmware that addresses bugs and adds new features to the device. Please note this port is <em>only <\/em>for receiving MIDI data.<\/li><li>The <strong>USB to Host<\/strong> port is for sending MIDI data to your computer.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>MIDI<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Connect traditional 5-pin DIN <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/insync\/midi\/\">MIDI <\/a>cables to transmit and receive MIDI data or to use an external device.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>Sync<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Use the <strong>SYNC IN\/OUT <\/strong>jacks to connect to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/korg-volca\/series\">Korg Volca<\/a> products and to sync steps and output pulses.<\/li><li>The <strong>SYNC OUT<\/strong> jack provides a 15ms long, 5v pulse at the beginning of a step. Make sure to use mini stereo cables for this connection!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>Audio IN\/OUT<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The <strong>AUDIO IN<\/strong> jack is for connecting to external audio sources.<\/li><li><strong>AUDIO OUT 1\u20134 <\/strong>are independent audio outputs separate from the Main outputs. This allows you to assign specific parts to the individual outputs without affecting the overall mix.<\/li><li>Connect 1\/4-inch TRS cables from the <strong>Audio L(MONO)\/R <\/strong>to external audio sources like mixers, audio interfaces, and speakers.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/media\/2023\/04\/Korg-drumlogue-connections-Diagram.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/media\/2023\/04\/Korg-drumlogue-connections-Diagram-1024x600.jpg\" alt=\"Korg drumlogue connections Diagram\" class=\"wp-image-1777971\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/media\/2023\/04\/Korg-drumlogue-connections-Diagram-1024x600.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/media\/2023\/04\/Korg-drumlogue-connections-Diagram-300x176.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/media\/2023\/04\/Korg-drumlogue-connections-Diagram-768x450.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/media\/2023\/04\/Korg-drumlogue-connections-Diagram.jpg 1532w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"drumlogue-Power-Sequence\">drumlogue Power Sequence<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Korg recommends following a specific power-up sequence so you get the best experience. Following the sequence improperly may shorten your speakers\u2019 lifespans and potentially the drumlogue itself. Follow these steps for the proper power-up sequence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Power-On\">Power On<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>With the drumlogue\u2019s volume turned down and all connected external devices and speakers turned off, press and hold the <strong>POWER <\/strong>button until you see the drumlogue logo display.<\/li><li>Once powered on, turn on your external devices and speakers, then slowly turn up the speakers and drumlogue until it\u2019s at a comfortable listening level.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Power-Off\">Power Off<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Turn down the volume on your speakers and drumlogue, then power off the external devices and speakers.<\/li><li>Press and hold the<strong> POWER <\/strong>button on the drumlogue, then wait until the display turns off.<ul><li>Wait at least 10 seconds before powering the device back on.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>Auto Power Off<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Korg drumlogue has an auto power-off feature that will turn off the device after four hours of not turning any knobs, changing settings, etc. By default, Auto Power Off is enabled. If you wish, you can turn the feature off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Press and hold the <strong>SHIFT<\/strong> button and press <strong>LIVE <\/strong>to enter the <em>Global Settings<\/em>.<\/li><li>Press the <strong>DELAY <\/strong>button to enter the <em>Hardware<\/em> (HW) <em>Settings<\/em>.<ul><li>You can also switch between pages using the <strong>PAGE UP\/DOWN <\/strong>buttons.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Turn the second parameter encoder (beneath the display) to select <strong>OFF<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Press the <strong>LIVE <\/strong>button to exit the <em>Global Settings<\/em> menu. Any changes made in <em>Global Settings <\/em>will be saved automatically.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Creating-a-Pattern\">Creating a Pattern<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can store 128 kits and programs over 16 banks. Programs contain the kit, parameters, effects, rhythmic patterns, etc. Let\u2019s create a pattern from scratch to get you up and running.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Select a Program by pressing <strong>SELECT<\/strong>, then use functions (F) 1 and 4 encoders. For this article, select Program E1.<ul><li>If you want to clear the pattern, hold <strong>SHIFT<\/strong> and press <strong>CLEAR ALL<\/strong> (step 15 button). You can undo this by pressing the <strong>CLEAR ALL <\/strong>button again.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Press <strong>LIVE<\/strong>.<\/li><li>By default, each pattern is 16 steps long. To change the length of a pattern, press and hold <strong>SHIFT <\/strong>and press the <strong>NO <\/strong>button. Once selected, you can use the <strong>YES <\/strong>and <strong>NO <\/strong>buttons to navigate the pages.<ul><li>Alternatively, press and hold the <strong>TIME <\/strong>button, then use the fourth function (<strong>F4<\/strong>) encoder underneath the display to change the length.<\/li><li>You can also change the length of a part by following the procedure above while holding the <strong>PART <\/strong>button and selecting the sample you want to change.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Hold <strong>PART<\/strong> and press the instrument you want to play.<\/li><li>Press the <strong>STEP <\/strong>button to create your pattern step-by-step.<ul><li>To record live, press the <strong>RECORD <\/strong>button. It will start recording once you begin playing. Once you\u2019ve reached the end of the pattern, it will then start to overdub.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Once you\u2019re finished, press the Program <strong>SAVE <\/strong>button, rename it, then press <strong>SAVE.<\/strong><\/li><li>Use F2 and F4 to select where to save the Program, then press <strong>SAVE <\/strong>again.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Chaining-Patterns\">Chaining Patterns<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>One great feature of the drumlogue is the ability to chain up to 64 patterns.
