If you don\u2019t have an account yet, click the Register button and fill out the necessary information to create a new account.<\/li><li>Download and install <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ikmultimedia.com\/products\/productmanager\/\">IK Product Manager<\/a> for your OS.<\/li><li>Once installed, launch the app, then log in using your IK Multimedia account credentials.<\/li><li>Once logged in, click <strong>Manage My Products<\/strong>, select <strong>Register Product<\/strong>, then enter the serial number of your AmpliTube TONEX pedal found on the card inside the box.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Authorize-and-download-the-software\">Authorize and download the software<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After registering your TONEX pedal, AmpliTube and the necessary TONEX software will be available to authorize and download. You also receive one free copy of select IK Multimedia instruments!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Within IK Multimedia Product Manager, click&nbsp;<strong>Software.<\/strong><ul><li>If you\u2019re a Windows PC user, click&nbsp;<strong>Driver&nbsp;<\/strong>to download and install the dedicated ASIO driver.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Select the TONEX software and click&nbsp;<strong>Install<\/strong>. Once the download is complete, the installer should launch automatically.<\/li><li>Under the TONEX software entry, click the <strong>Manuals<\/strong> tab. Download the newest owner\u2019s manuals. This is important because with major new versions of the TONEX apps and firmware, IK provides updated owner\u2019s manuals that explain the new features.<\/li><li>To get your free bonus software, click the <strong>Giftbox<\/strong> icon (green), use the dropdown to select the piece of software you\u2019d like, then click Proceed. Some vintage fuzzes and overdrives with parallel paths inside also can\u2019t be modeled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A TONE Model captures a guitar or bass rig that can include stomps (e.g., distortion, overdrive), guitar amps, and guitar cabs. You can mix and match any of these parameters to get a truly unique sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>All your presets are sorted into BANKs. Press the <strong>A+B <\/strong>switches (move down) or <strong>B+C <\/strong>(move up) to switch between banks. To view the current bank, press the <strong>A+C <\/strong>switches.<\/li><li>You can edit the BANK arrangement within the TONEX Librarian software.<\/li><li>Press and rotate the MODEL encoder to change between models.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Edit-amp-models\">Edit amp models<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you wish to edit an amp\u2019s settings on the TONEX pedal, you must do so by using the <strong>MODEL<\/strong> encoder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Press the <strong>MODEL<\/strong> encoder to open the menu, then press it again to enter the AMP\/CAB selection.<\/li><li>Press the <strong>MODEL<\/strong> encoder to enter the AMP menu.<\/li><li>Rotate the encoder to browse AMP MODELs.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Edit-cab-models\">Edit cab models<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Editing cab models is different from editing amp models because there are three types of cabs: MODEL, VIR, and IR. The MODEL is the captured TONEX model, VIR is built in the TONEX software, which models a Cabinet and its mic placement, and IR is any custom IRs created in the software. Please note that the IR category is hidden if you don\u2019t have any Custom IR imported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Press the <strong>MODEL<\/strong> encoder to open the TONE MODEL menu, then press it again to enter the AMP\/CAB selection.<\/li><li>Rotate the <strong>MODEL<\/strong> encoder once to select the CAB menu.<\/li><li>Press the <strong>MODEL<\/strong> encoder to enter the CAB menu, then turn the <strong>MODEL<\/strong> encoder to choose the CAB category (MODEL, VIR, or IR).<\/li><li>Press the <strong>MODEL<\/strong> encoder to enter the chosen category, then turn it to browse CAB models.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"The-Three-TONEX-Apps\">The Three TONEX Apps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>IK Multimedia provides three apps for working with TONEX products:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The <strong>TONEX Editor app<\/strong> is for managing and controlling your TONEX hardware.<\/li><li>The <strong>TONEX Modeler app<\/strong> is used to capture rigs and create Tone Models.<\/li><li>The <strong>Amplitube TONEX app<\/strong> is a standalone application to play, capture, organize and transfer Tone Models.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you don\u2019t see all three of these apps on your Mac or Windows PC, go back to IK Multimedia Product Manager, log in to your account, and click the Software tab.
