Follow the instructions below to get started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li><strong><a href=\"#Setup-and-Connections\">Setup and Connections<\/a><\/strong><ul><li><a href=\"#Monitor-placement\"><strong>Monitor placement<\/strong><\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><a href=\"#Everse-8-Bluetooth-Setup\"><strong>Everse 8 Bluetooth Setup<\/strong><\/a><ul><li><strong><a href=\"#Wireless-connections\">Wireless connections<\/a><\/strong><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Setup-and-Connections\">Setup and Connections<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Everse 8 can be used in many ways: as a floor monitor, kickback, or PA speaker. Please note that the battery is partially charged out of the box, so it is recommended to charge it fully before use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Turn on your Everse 8.<\/li><li>Connect your sound sources and adjust the levels. Be sure that the volume is down when connecting your gear! This will negate the risk of loud pops, which can damage the speakers.<\/li><li><strong>Instruments<\/strong>: Any instrument can be connected with a 1\/4-inch or an XLR cable to Channel 1 or 2.<\/li><li><strong>Microphones<\/strong>: While you can connect any microphone with an XLR or a 1\/4-inch cable to Channel 1 or 2, it is highly recommended to connect microphones to Channel 1, especially if you use condenser microphones.<\/li><li><strong>Aux Sources<\/strong>: Any mobile device or MP3 player will be connected with a 3.5mm cable dedicated to Channel 3\/4.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4>Phantom Power<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f2f1f0\"><strong>IMPORTANT!<\/strong><br>Remember to connect your microphone <em>before <\/em>turning on phantom power and to turn off phantom power <em>before <\/em>disconnecting your microphone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are connecting a condenser microphone that requires phantom power (+48V), then you will need to connect the microphone to Channel 1 and turn on phantom power. To do so, press the Input 1 button, press the MAIN VOL knob, then use the knob to turn on phantom power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"EVERSE 8 Training - Connecting a Microphone and Guitar\" width=\"620\" height=\"349\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GBKPqPZXmtg?wmode=transparent&amp;rel=0&amp;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Monitor-placement\">Monitor placement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on your application, you may need to change the Location setting. For example, if you want to use it as a PA speaker, then you will want to place them on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/store\/best\/speaker-stands?search=Speaker+Stands&amp;Category=Live+Sound+%26+Lighting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">speaker stands<\/a> and have the Location set as TRIPOD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, if you\u2019re using it as a floor or kickback monitor, then you will need to set it on its side on a smooth and even surface. For optimal sound, you will also need to ensure that it\u2019s at the correct angle and has the appropriate Location setting! If the services are disabled, then the Everse 8 will not appear as an available device!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One great feature of the Electro-Voice Everse 8 is the ability to pair the speaker to a mobile device via Bluetooth.
