You\u2019ll also receive a license for AmpliTube with your purchase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Log into your&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ikmultimedia.com\/userarea\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IK Multimedia account<\/a>. If you don\u2019t have an account yet, click the&nbsp;<strong>Register&nbsp;<\/strong>button and fill out the necessary information to create a new account.<\/li><li>Download and install&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ikmultimedia.com\/products\/productmanager\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IK Product Manager<\/a>&nbsp;for your OS.<\/li><li>Once installed, launch the app, then log in using your IK Multimedia account credentials.<\/li><li>Once logged in, click&nbsp;<strong>Manage My Products<\/strong>, select Register Product, then enter the serial number of your TONEX Capture on the card inside the box.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Authorize-and-download-the-software\">Authorize and download the software<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/media\/2022\/10\/IK-Product-Manager-Software-Download-page-1024x745.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>IK Multimedia Product Manager<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within IK Multimedia Product Manager, click Software, locate TONEX, and click <strong>Authorize<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click <strong>Download<\/strong>. Once the download is complete, the installer should launch automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IK Multimedia provides three apps for working with TONEX products:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The <strong>TONEX Editor app<\/strong> is for managing and controlling a TONEX Pedal or TONEX ONE unit.<\/li><li>The <strong>TONEX Modeler app<\/strong> is used to capture rigs and create Tone Models.<\/li><li>The Amplitube <strong>TONEX app<\/strong> is a standalone application to play, capture, organize and transfer Tone Models.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you don\u2019t see all three of these apps on your Mac or Windows PC, go back to IK Multimedia Product Manager, log in to your account, and click the Software tab. You\u2019ll be notified that there is an update to the TONEX software for you to install.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Use IK Multimedia Product Manager to download the newest versions of the user manuals for each of these apps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Setup-and-Connections\">Setup and Connections<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f2f1f0\"><strong>TIP:&nbsp;<\/strong>An interface with more than two inputs and outputs is preferred \u2014 two for monitoring and one for your rig. Also, if you\u2019re running into issues with the input and output signal, check your interface\u2019s digital I\/O routing software to ensure everything is set correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you\u2019ve registered the TONEX, the next step is to get set up and connected. You can connect one of two ways: directly or by using a speaker. Depending on how you want to capture your tone, you may want to choose one way over the other, but the process is simple either way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Direct<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to send the pure amp signal directly to the interface for reamping, follow these steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Connect a cable from the TONEX Capture\u2019s&nbsp;<strong>Line Input&nbsp;<\/strong>to an available Line&nbsp;<em>OUT&nbsp;<\/em>on your interface.<\/li><li>Connect a cable from the&nbsp;<strong>To Amp<\/strong>&nbsp;to the input of your guitar amp.<\/li><li>Connect a speaker cable from the&nbsp;<strong>From Amp<\/strong>&nbsp;to your amp\u2019s speaker out or between your amp and cab.<\/li><li>Use a cable to connect from the&nbsp;<strong>TO CAB&nbsp;<\/strong>of the TONEX Capture to the cab\u2019s input.<\/li><li>Connect the&nbsp;<strong>Line Out<\/strong>&nbsp;to a line input on the interface.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3>Speaker<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also capture the tone of your combo or amp and speaker using a unique test signal sent to your interface, almost like an&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/articles\/how-to-create-guitar-amp-impulse-responses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">impulse response<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Connect a cable from a Line&nbsp;<em>OUT&nbsp;<\/em>on your interface to the&nbsp;<strong>Line Input&nbsp;<\/strong>on the TONEX Capture.<\/li><li>Use a cable to connect from the&nbsp;<strong>To Amp&nbsp;<\/strong>to the amp\u2019s input.<\/li><li>Place a mic in the desired position, then connect it to an available input on your interface.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Using-TONEX-Capture-as-a-Reamp-Box\">Using TONEX Capture as a Reamp Box<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Consult the <strong>TONEX Capture User Manual<\/strong> for diagrams to set up these scenarios:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Reamping with the amp head and cabinet<\/li><li>Reamping with the amp head<\/li><li>Reamping silently using a load box<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Capture-Tones-with-the-TONEX-Modeler-App\">Capture Tones with the TONEX Modeler App<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s IK Multimedia\u2019s video introducing the TONEX Modeler app:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Meet IK&#039;s New TONEX Modeler - Overview\" width=\"620\" height=\"349\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/241XL_d0Lys?wmode=transparent&amp;rel=0&amp;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
