From game consoles to computer connections, M-Audio\u2019s M-Game RGB has you covered. So, in this guide, we will show you how to register, set up, and connect the M-Game for the first time. Upon registration, you\u2019ll get access to the M-Game standalone software, which includes the drivers and control app necessary for the interface to work correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Log into your <a href=\"https:\/\/profile.inmusicbrands.com\/customer\/account\/login\/\">M-Audio account<\/a>. If you don\u2019t have an account, you can <a href=\"https:\/\/profile.inmusicbrands.com\/customer\/account\/create\/\">create one here<\/a>.<\/li><li>On your account home page, click <strong>REGISTER<\/strong> at the top of the page, then click <strong>REGISTER NEW PRODUCT<\/strong>.<\/li><li>When prompted, enter the <em>Serial Number <\/em>at the bottom of the unit or on the side of the packaging. Be sure NOT to include the (21)!<ul><li>If you receive a message stating the number of registrations has been reached, you will need to <a href=\"https:\/\/support.m-game.com\/en\/support\/tickets\/new\">submit a support ticket<\/a> with M-Audio.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Download-the-software\">Download the software<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you\u2019ve registered your M-Game, the next thing you\u2019ll need to do is download and install the dedicated software that is used to control and update the computer and hardware routing. The installer also includes the driver necessary for the M-Game to communicate with your computer correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>On your account home page, locate the newly registered M-Game, click <strong>View Downloads<\/strong>, then click<strong> M-Game RGB Software<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Navigate to your <em>Downloads <\/em>folder, then locate and launch the M-Game installer.<\/li><li>Follow the on-screen instructions, then connect the M-Game to your computer to complete the installation process.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/profile.inmusicbrands.com\/customer\/account\/login\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1019\" height=\"745\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/media\/2022\/10\/M-GAME-Registration-page.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1775484\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/media\/2022\/10\/M-GAME-Registration-page.jpg 1019w, https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/media\/2022\/10\/M-GAME-Registration-page-300x219.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/media\/2022\/10\/M-GAME-Registration-page-768x561.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1019px) 100vw, 1019px\" \/><\/a><figcaption><a href=\"https:\/\/profile.inmusicbrands.com\/customer\/account\/login\/\"><em>M-Game Registration Page<\/em><\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f2f1f0;color:#f2f1f0\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"M-Game-Setup-and-Connections\">M-Game Setup and Connections<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f2f1f0\"><strong>TIP: <\/strong>Be sure to connect the M-Game RGB to your computer before powering on the interface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most audio interfaces can only connect to a computer, but the M-Game RGB interface also allows you to connect your mobile devices, TV, and game consoles! This makes it perfect for gamers and streamers alike. Let\u2019s go over the basic setup and connections so you can get up and running! Check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.m-game.com\/user-manual\/mgame-solo.pdf\">M-Game Solo<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.m-game.com\/user-manual\/mgame-dual.pdf\">M-Game Dual<\/a> User Guides for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Connect the M-Game to your computer via USB, then connect your headset, speakers, and headphones at the back of the unit. If you\u2019re a Mac user, you must use an official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/store\/detail\/USBC-USB--apple-usb-c-to-usb-adapter\">Apple USB-C to USB adapter<\/a>.<ul><li>If you have an M-Game single computer setup, use the <strong>USB Stream Port<\/strong>. If you have a dual computer setup, use the <strong>USB Stream Port<\/strong> for the streaming computer and <strong>Game USB Port <\/strong>for your gaming computer.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Navigate to your computer\u2019s sound settings and set it as the default recording and playback device.<ul><li><strong>PC<\/strong>: Right-click the <strong>Speaker <\/strong>icon on your Windows taskbar and click Sounds. Select <strong>Playback<\/strong>, right-click your interface, and click<strong> Set as Default Device <\/strong>and<strong> Set as Default Communications Device<\/strong>. Lastly, choose Properties, go to the <strong>Advanced <\/strong>tab, and uncheck the boxes under <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/articles\/how-to-disable-exclusive-mode-in-windows-sound-settings\/\">Exclusive Mode<\/a>. Click the <strong>Recording <\/strong>tab and follow the same procedure.<\/li><li><strong>Mac<\/strong>: Click the <strong>Apple <\/strong>icon from the Menu Bar and select <strong>System Preferences<\/strong>. Click <strong>Sound<\/strong>, then select the M-Game under the <em>Input <\/em>and <em>Output <\/em>tabs.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Launch the M-Game Control Panel and click <strong>Set Mic<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Talk into the mic as loudly as you expect to talk while streaming, and adjust the fader so it begins clipping. Once you see it clip, the mic LED will flash.<\/li><li>While continuing to speak into the mic, turn the <em>Mic Gain<\/em> down to a point where it stops clipping.<ul><li>If you\u2019re using a condenser mic, click Phantom Power in the M-Game Control Panel.<\/li><li>If you\u2019re using a low-gain mic (e.g., SM7B), use the software\u2019s BOOST feature.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>On the right side of the M-Game Control Panel, use the dropdown to select the source of where your audio will be coming <em>From<\/em>.<\/li><li>Launch the streaming software you\u2019ll be using, then go into its audio settings to update the default input and output device.<ul><li>Refer to the streaming software\u2019s User Manual to learn how to update its sound settings.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Firmware-update\">Firmware update<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f2f1f0\"><strong>IMPORTANT: <\/strong>Be sure not to disconnect or power off the interface while updating the firmware!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you first launch the M-Game Control Panel, you may be prompted to update your firmware. If this is the case, click <strong>Update Firmware <\/strong>and follow the on-screen instructions.
