Follow the steps below to get started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li><a href=\"#THR30II-firmware-update\"><strong>THR30II firmware update<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"#Line-6-Relay-G10T-firmware-update\"><strong>Line 6 Relay G10T firmware update<\/strong><\/a><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"Before-we-begin\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader blackHeader alignLeft underline customh4 swheader\">Before we begin<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Please check the bottom side of your THR30II before moving forward. If there is <strong>NOT <\/strong>a white dot on the sticker, you only need to update the Line 6 Relay G10T firmware on the THR30II. If there is a white dot on the bottom side of the unit, you must update the firmware on both devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before getting set up and connected, you first need to update the firmware on the THR30II and Relay G10T. Depending on your model, you may need to go through additional steps, so follow our instructions below to update your firmware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Mac users must use an official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/store\/detail\/USBC-USB--apple-usb-c-to-usb-adapter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Apple USB-A to USB-C adapter<\/a>.<\/li><li>PC users must download the official Yamaha ASIO driver before connecting the THR30II to the computer. The ASIO driver <a href=\"https:\/\/usa.yamaha.com\/products\/musical_instruments\/guitars_basses\/amps_accessories\/thr-ii\/downloads.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">can be found here<\/a>.<\/li><li>You cannot perform the firmware update on battery power, so be sure the THR30II is connected to the AC adapter!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"THR30II-firmware-update\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader blackHeader alignLeft underline customh2 swheader\">THR30II firmware update<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>THR30II firmware updates are done by connecting the amp to your computer and using <a href=\"https:\/\/usa.yamaha.com\/products\/musical_instruments\/guitars_basses\/amps_accessories\/thr-ii\/downloads.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">THR Remote<\/a>. You will need to use a USB-A to USB-B cable when you connect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Connect your THR to the AC adapter, then turn the unit on.<\/li><li>Connect the device to your computer, then go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/usa.yamaha.com\/products\/musical_instruments\/guitars_basses\/amps_accessories\/thr-ii\/downloads.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">THR30II download page<\/a> to download and install the latest version of THR Remote.<ul><li><strong>PC users:<\/strong> be sure to download the <a href=\"https:\/\/usa.yamaha.com\/products\/musical_instruments\/guitars_basses\/amps_accessories\/thr-ii\/downloads.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">latest ASIO driver<\/a> beforehand!<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Launch THR Remote. If a new firmware is detected, click <strong>Start Update<\/strong>.<ul><li>If a pop-up window doesn\u2019t appear, this means your THR30II firmware is up to date. If this is the case, skip these steps and continue to the Relay G10T firmware update.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>When you see the Preset Override window, click <strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Press and hold the <strong>Tap: Time <\/strong>and <strong>USER MEMORY 1 <\/strong>buttons and press the <strong>power <\/strong>button. Once the firmware process begins, let go of the buttons.<\/li><li>After the firmware update is finished, click <strong>OK<\/strong>. A window will appear if there\u2019s a new firmware update available.<\/li><li>If there is a new firmware update, click <strong>OK<\/strong>. When the Line 6 EULA window appears, click <strong>Accept<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Press and hold the <strong>Tap: Time <\/strong>and <strong>USER MEMORY 1 <\/strong>buttons and press the <strong>power <\/strong>button. Once the firmware process begins, let go of the buttons. The Relay G10T\u2019s LED will turn red.<\/li><li>After the firmware update is finished, click <strong>OK<\/strong>.
