Engine DJ is the free music management software you\u2019ll use to import and sync music from your computer and your Apple Music, Serato, Traktor, and rekordbox libraries. What\u2019s great is you can create playlists and even plan out your entire set by adding cues, loop points, and more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f3f2f1\"><strong>TIP: <\/strong>By default, Traktor and rekordbox libraries are disabled. To enable them, click the <strong>Gear <\/strong>icon (upper right corner of the software), click <strong>Library<\/strong>, then click <strong>On<\/strong>. Their respective icons will then appear on the left sidebar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/enginedj.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Engine DJ webpage<\/a> and download the <em>Engine DJ Desktop <\/em>application.<\/li><li>Navigate to your <em>Downloads <\/em>folder, launch the installer, and follow the on-screen instructions.<\/li><li>Launch Engine DJ, then on the left side of the application, click the icon where the music is being imported.<\/li><li>Highlight the songs you want to send to your Collection, then drag them to the Playlists icon (first icon on the top).<\/li><li>Drag the songs over Collection to create a Playlist.<\/li><li>Once you\u2019re all set, click <strong>Sync Manager<\/strong>, select the Playlists you want to send to your storage device, then click <strong>Export to drive<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Click the <strong>eject <\/strong>icon at the top right of the Sync Manager window, then disconnect your storage device.<ol><li><strong>Always<\/strong> be sure to safely eject external storage devices so your audio files or playlists don\u2019t get corrupted.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Engine-DJ-file-format-compatibility\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader darkBlueHeader alignLeft underline customh3 swheader\">Engine DJ file format compatibility<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If a track doesn\u2019t appear in your collection in Engine DJ, it could be due to file format incompatibility. So you don\u2019t run into this issue, here is a list of all compatible audio file formats:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>AAC\/M4A&nbsp;<\/li><li>AIF\/AIFF (44.1\u2013192 kHz, 16\u201332-bit)&nbsp;<\/li><li>ALAC&nbsp;<\/li><li>FLAC&nbsp;<\/li><li>MP3 (44.1kHz, 32\u2013320 kbps)&nbsp;<\/li><li>MP4&nbsp;<\/li><li>Ogg Vorbis&nbsp;<\/li><li>WAV (44.1\u2013192 kHz, 16\u201332-bit)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"Do-I-have-to-create-a-playlist\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader blackHeader alignLeft underline customh4 swheader\">Do I have to create a playlist?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have a gig where you need to keep the energy going or are playing a specific genre for the entire set, we highly recommend creating playlists. Currently, you can stream playlists from TIDAL, Beatport LINK, Beatsource LINK, Soundcloud GO+, and Dropbox. Skip these steps and continue to the <strong>Streaming from Dropbox <\/strong>instructions if you want to stream from Dropbox, as the process is a little different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure you\u2019re connected to a network with a strong signal.
