        Power settings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        IMPORTANT: <\/strong>You must<\/strong> use the included 12v power supply. Using a third-party power supply can result in keyboard malfunction and non-warranty repair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Before turning the unit on, you first need to handle the power settings. More often than not, you\u2019ll use the included 12v power supply, but the great thing is that you can also power the keyboard using six AA batteries. For optimal battery life and functionality, you may have to change the battery settings depending on the type of batteries you use (alkaline or Ni-MH).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. Press the MENU <\/strong>button, then press the RIGHT ARROW <\/strong>button until you see SETTINGS<\/strong>.<\/li>
        2. Press the SETTINGS <\/strong>button, followed by the RIGHT ARROW <\/strong>button until you get to the BATTERY <\/strong>menu, then press the + <\/strong>or – <\/strong>button to switch between Alkaline<\/em> and Ni-MH<\/em>.<\/li>
        3. Press EXIT <\/strong>to get back to the main screen.

          Working with the instrument presets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          There are plenty of features on the CT-S1000V, but this guide only scratches the surface and discusses the most common settings you\u2019ll work with when playing with instruments CT-S 1000V. Be sure to check out the CT-S1000V User\u2019s Guide <\/a>for more information!

          <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          1. Press the INSTRUMENT <\/strong>button, then use the encoder knob to change between instruments.<\/li>
          2. Press the CAT + <\/strong>and CAT – <\/strong>switch between instrument categories (e.g., piano, bass, choir, brass).<\/li>
          3. Press the SPLIT<\/strong>, LAYER<\/strong>, TOUCH<\/strong>, SUS<\/strong>, and ARP<\/strong> buttons to adjust their corresponding functions.<\/li>
          4. SPLIT<\/strong>: The split<\/a> function allows you to load two different sounds separate from your desired note of the keyboard. Press the SPLIT button to select the second instrument, then use the encoder knob to select the desired tone. Press and hold the SPLIT <\/strong>button to set the split note, then press the + <\/strong>and – <\/strong>to choose the note.<\/li>
          5. LAYER<\/strong>: As the word implies, layering<\/a> lets you play two instruments simultaneously. This is particularly useful if you want a unique or full sound. To add the layered instrument, simply press the LAYER <\/strong>button, then use the encoder knob to select the second instrument.<\/li>
          6. TOUCH: <\/strong>The TOUCH button allows you to adjust the keypress velocity (Off, Light, Medium, Heavy). Different players have different preferences, so test each one out to see what\u2019s most comfortable.
