Upon registration, you\u2019ll get access to Casio support, as well as an extended warranty for your keyboard. The process couldn\u2019t be easier. There are multiple ways you can incorporate your CT-S1000V into your studio and live rig. Since there are only two primary areas of the keyboard for connections (located at the back), the setup is straightforward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"USB\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader darkBlueHeader alignLeft underline customh3 swheader\">USB<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two different USB connections located on the left side of the unit. One is a micro USB-B port, where you can directly connect a smart device. The other is a USB-A connection that you can use to connect a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/store\/detail\/WUBT10--casio-wu-bt10-wireless-bluetooth-midi-audio-adapter-for-ct-s400-ct-s410-and-lk-s450\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Casio WU-BT10 Bluetooth adapter<\/a> (for streaming audio and MIDI) or USB thumb drive (to import and export saved user data).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>You must use a USB cable shorter than two meters for optimal performance if connecting a smart device to the micro USB port.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Input-and-output\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader darkBlueHeader alignLeft underline customh3 swheader\">Input and output<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are hardware connections dedicated to audio and foot pedals on the right side of the keyboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"Audio-and-MIDI-input\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader blackHeader alignLeft underline customh4 swheader\">Audio and MIDI input<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two physical audio inputs you can work with when using the Casio CT-S1000V. Here are a few key things to remember!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>If you want to turn off the sound from the built-in speakers when using the Line Out jack(s), go into the <strong>Settings <\/strong>menu and turn off the speaker.<ul><li>Check out <a href=\"https:\/\/support.casio.com\/storage\/en\/manual\/pdf\/EN\/008\/CTS1000V_usersguide_EN.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>page 233<\/strong><\/a> in the User Manual to learn more about changing settings.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Connecting headphones to the Casio will disable the built-in speakers on the keyboard.<\/li><li>Headphones will disable any surround sound effect.<\/li><li>To conserve battery power, lower the volume and use your headphones.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"Foot-pedals\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader blackHeader alignLeft underline customh4 swheader\">Foot pedals<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two jacks available for foot pedals. Pedal 1 is for an SP-3 or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/store\/detail\/SP20pedal--casio-sp20-sustain-pedal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SP-20<\/a> sustain pedal, and pedal 2 is for either a sustain pedal or an expression pedal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>If you\u2019re connecting an expression pedal to the <em>Pedal2\/Expression <\/em>jack you will need to calibrate it and, depending on the pedal, change the polarity.
