By registering the hardware, you\u2019ll receive a free copy of Studio One Artist. Keep your Sweetwater invoice handy, as you\u2019ll need to enter the purchase date during the registration process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Log into your <a aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/my.presonus.com\/login\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PreSonus account<\/a>. It\u2019s class-compliant on Mac, meaning you can connect it and start playing, but if you\u2019re using it on a PC, you\u2019ll need to install its ASIO driver first via Universal Control. Follow these steps to set up your GO interface desktop computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Download-and-install-Universal-Control\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader darkBlueHeader alignLeft underline customh3 swheader\">Download and install Universal Control<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For your AudioBox GO interface to work correctly on your Mac or PC, you first need to install the Universal Control application, which is used to update your interface\u2019s firmware, and if you\u2019re using a PC, install the driver software. AudioBox Go interfaces are class-compliant on Mac, which means no additional driver software is necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Go to the <em>Software Downloads<\/em> section of your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.presonus.com\/support\/downloads\/interfaces\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">interface\u2019s download page<\/a>, and click <strong>Download Now<\/strong>.&nbsp;<ul><li>The PreSonus website automatically detects which OS you\u2019re currently using, but if you need to download it for a different OS, use the dropdown box and select the correct OS.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Open your <em>Downloads <\/em>folder and run the Universal Control installer.<ul><li><strong>PC: Double-click the .exe file to begin the process<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Mac: Double-click the .dmg file, then double-click the .pkg file to begin the installation process.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Launch Universal Control, then connect the interface to the computer.&nbsp;<ul><li>If you receive a firmware update prompt, You\u2019ll first need to update the firmware before using the interface.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"Updating-the-firmware\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader blackHeader alignLeft underline customh4 swheader\">Updating the firmware<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>PreSonus will occasionally update the AudioBox GO series firmware, which will often add new features and fix bugs in the current firmware. To update the firmware, simply launch Universal Control, and it will automatically update it for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Update-your-computer-s-sound-settings\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader darkBlueHeader alignLeft underline customh3 swheader\">Update your computer&#8217;s sound settings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To get sound in and out of your computer using the AudioBox GO, it must be selected as the operating system\u2019s primary audio device. For most applications <em>(not DAW\u2019s)<\/em>, this will be done from <strong>Sound Settings <\/strong><em>(Windows) <\/em>or <strong>Sound Preferences <\/strong><em>(Mac)<\/em>. Most DAW\u2019s have their own sound settings, so when using the interface with a DAW, you\u2019ll need to make sure that the AudioBox GO is selected as the main input and output device. Follow these steps to select the AudioBox GO as the main audio device on your computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#fff5c7\"><strong>IMPORTANT: <\/strong>The GO interfaces are bus-powered, meaning that it\u2019s powered solely from your computer. Connecting the interface to a USB hub may not provide enough power for your interface, so be sure you connect it to an available USB port on your computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Connect the USB cable from the interface to your computer.<\/li><li>Navigate to your OS sound settings and set it as the default input and output device.<ul><li><strong>Mac<\/strong>: Click the <strong>Apple <\/strong>icon from the <em>Menu<\/em> bar and select <strong>System Preferences<\/strong>. Click <strong>Sound<\/strong>, then select the AudioBox under the <em>Input <\/em>and <em>Output <\/em>tabs.<\/li><li><strong>PC<\/strong>: Right-click the <strong>Speaker <\/strong>icon on the Windows taskbar, then select <strong>Open Sound settings<\/strong>. Select the GO interface from both the <em>Output <\/em>and <em>Input <\/em>dropdown boxes.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Connect-your-PreSonus-AudioBox-GO-interface-to-an-iOS-device\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader blackHeader alignLeft noUnderline customh2 swheader\">Connect your PreSonus AudioBox GO interface to an iOS device<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Connecting your AudioBox GO interface to your iOS device couldn\u2019t be simpler. All you need is a USB to Lightning cable and a USB A &#8211; USB B cable. Although the PreSonus GO interfaces are bus-powered, your iOS cannot provide enough power to it.
