You can do this by pressing <strong>UTILITY <\/strong>and then <strong>SHIFT + &lt; (PAGE -)<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your modwave\u2019s firmware version doesn\u2019t match, you simply need to go to the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.korg.com\/us\/support\/download\/product\/0\/880\/#software\" target=\"_blank\">modwave Download page<\/a> and download the latest version, then update your modwave. If this is the case, skip these steps and <strong><a href=\"#Update-firmware-in-USB-Boot-Mode\">click here<\/a> <\/strong>to learn how to update the firmware in USB Boot Mode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before performing the update, you must configure the modwave\u2019s USB Network settings for the firmware update to work correctly. The process for Mac computers is simple. You just need to change the USB setting on the modwave then install it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Press <strong>Utility <\/strong>twice, then hold the <strong>SHIFT <\/strong>button and the press <strong>&gt; <\/strong>(page -) button.<\/li><li>Use the <strong>Page <\/strong>buttons to scroll down to <em>USB Network<\/em> and set it to <strong>NCM.<\/strong><ul><li>If you had to change it to NCM, you will need to power cycle the modwave.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Connect the modwave to your computer.<\/li><li>Navigate to your <em>Downloads <\/em>folder, open the updater folder, launch the installer, follow the on-screen prompts, then press <strong>Start <\/strong>to begin the update process.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Update-the-modwave-firmware-on-a-Windows-PC\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader blackHeader alignLeft noUnderline customh2 swheader\">Update the modwave firmware on a Windows PC<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"background-color:#fff5c7\" class=\"has-background\"><strong>IMPORTANT<\/strong>: You must follow the instructions exactly how they are laid out for your version of Windows, or else the update will fail.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The firmware update process differs slightly depending on the version of Windows your computer that is currently installed. You must set your modwave\u2019s USB Network protocol to RNDIS on Windows 7 and Windows 8 computers and NCM for Windows 10.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before updating the USB settings, you first need to install the Software Updater. Navigate to your<em> Downloads <\/em>folder, extract the <strong>.ZIP <\/strong>file, then launch the installer from the newly extracted folder. <\/strong>(page -) button.<\/li><li>Use the <strong>Page <\/strong>buttons to scroll down to <em>USB Network<\/em> and set it to <strong>NCM.<\/strong><ul><li>If you had to change it to NCM, you must power cycle the modwave.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Connect the modwave to your computer via USB.<\/li><li>Right-click the <strong>Windows <\/strong>icon on your taskbar and select <strong>Device Manager<\/strong>.<\/li><li>In <em>Other Devices<\/em>, check and make sure that <strong>CDC NCM <\/strong>is listed.<ul><li>If it isn\u2019t showing up, disconnect and reconnect the modwave from your computer.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Right-click on the NCM device, select <strong>Update driver<\/strong> and then choose <strong>Browse my computer for driver software<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Select <strong>Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer<\/strong>.<ul><li>Select <strong>Network adapter as the device type and click Next<\/strong> if necessary.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Select <strong>Microsoft <\/strong>as the Manufacturer, select <strong>UsbNcm Host Device<\/strong> as the Model, then click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<ul><li>If you receive a warning stating that installing the device is not recommended, click <strong>Yes<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>After you have changed the USB protocol, launch the modwave Software Updater, follow the on-screen prompts, then click <strong>Start<\/strong> to begin the update process.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Update-firmware-in-USB-Boot-Mode\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader blackHeader alignLeft noUnderline customh2 swheader\">Update firmware in USB Boot Mode<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If there is no network connection available on your computer, you can update the firmware by turning on the modwave in USB Boot Mode. This is also recommended for Mac users who are currently running Big Sur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Power off your modwave and connect it to a computer.<\/li><li>Press and hold the <strong>FILTER TYPE, FILTER ENV, and HOLD <\/strong>buttons.<\/li><li>While holding these buttons, turn on the modwave.
