Download the profile pack<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The first step for installing the Blackbird profile pack is downloading the profiler pack via the link you received from your Sweetwater Sales Engineer. The process is straightforward.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All you need to do is click the dl.sweetwater.com<\/em><\/strong> link you received in your software activation email, go to your Downloads <\/em>folder, then extract the profiler pack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Import the profile packs to your Kemper<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Once downloaded, the last thing you need to do is import the presets to your Kemper device. You can do it one of two ways: using a USB thumb drive or the Kemper Rig Manager software.
<\/p>\n\n\n\nUSB thumb drive<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
IMPORTANT: <\/strong>Formatting a USB drive will erase any current content on it. So be sure to back up any important files beforehand!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For a USB thumb drive to work correctly with your Kemper, you the thumb drive must be formatted to the FAT32 format. Please note that we highly recommend using an 8GB or 16GB thumb drive with your Kemper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- Insert a USB thumb drive to the USB port on the Kemper.\u00a0
- Once connected, you should see USB Stick<\/strong> <\/em>appear on the display.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
- Press the softkey located above USB Stick<\/strong>, and then press the softkey above the FORMAT DEVICE<\/em> option.\u00a0<\/li>
- When prompted, press the softkey above YES <\/strong>to begin the formatting procedure.
- Be patient, as the formatting process will take a few minutes!\u00a0<\/li>
- Do not disconnect the USB thumb drive or power off the Kemper during the formatting procedure.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
- Once the display shows Operation Successful<\/strong>, press OK <\/strong>and then disconnect the USB thumb drive from your Kemper.<\/li>
- Insert the USB thumb drive to an available USB port on your computer, then open the Shared <\/strong>folder created during the formatting process.<\/li>
- Go back to your Downloads <\/em>folder, open the newly extracted folder.<\/li>
- Copy and paste the BB HIGH GAIN PROFILES <\/strong>folder into the Shared <\/strong>folder on your USB thumb drive. Once the transfer has finished, safely eject the USB drive<\/a>.<\/li>
- Insert the thumb drive back into the Kemper, press the USB Stick <\/strong>softkey, press the Import\/Export<\/strong> softkey, then choose Import<\/strong>.
- It will take a few minutes for the new profiles to be imported.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
- Once the process is complete, press OK<\/strong>, then remove your thumb drive.<\/li>
- Press the softkey above ALL RIGS<\/strong>, turn the Browse <\/em>knob to the right of the screen and view your newly imported profiles.\u00a0<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
- Insert the USB thumb drive to an available USB port on your computer, then open the Shared <\/strong>folder created during the formatting process.<\/li>
- Press the softkey located above USB Stick<\/strong>, and then press the softkey above the FORMAT DEVICE<\/em> option.\u00a0<\/li>
- Once connected, you should see USB Stick<\/strong> <\/em>appear on the display.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
