There are a few different connection types available to you: CV, MIDI, and USB. If you\u2019re using the WASP with external MIDI hardware or other synthesizers, it can\u2019t be at the end of the MIDI signal chain because it doesn\u2019t have a MIDI OUT port.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Warm-up-the-circuits\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader darkBlueHeader alignLeft underline customh3 swheader\">Warm up the circuits<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Before you start making your connections, you\u2019ll first need to turn on the WASP and let it sit for about 15 minutes or so. It may take a little longer, depending on the room temperature. This is because the WASP has analog circuits that need to warm up to operating temperature, so it doesn\u2019t sound out of tune.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Turn everything down.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Connect the WASP\u2019s output to the input of a device like a keyboard amp, powered speaker, or mixer and let it warm up for about 15-20 minutes.<ul><li>Make sure you know the type of audio signal you\u2019re connecting the WASP to, as using the incorrect output jack may result in pops or may damage your equipment!<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>If using a MIDI controller, connect it to the MIDI IN port. If the WASP is being used within a synth chain, connect it via the MIDI THRU.<\/li><li>Set the MIDI channel you\u2019ll be playing on, using the dip switches on the back.
