Follow the steps below to set up an input (such as Mic\n1) and send signal to an output (MAIN L\/R, MON 1\/2, or USB 1\/2). Then you can\nrecord each channel individually with Recording mode or record the stereo mix\nwith Streaming mode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f2f1f0\"><strong>IMPORTANT!<br><\/strong>Many of FLOW 8\u2019s levels are digitally controlled. That means each fader will control different MAIN, MON, and FX settings, depending on what\u2019s currently selected. Keep that in mind when changing between mix settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Preamp-gain-and-channel-levels\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader darkBlueHeader alignLeft underline customh3 swheader\">Preamp gain and channel levels<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Press and hold the <strong>MAIN<\/strong> button (keep holding).<\/li><li>The screen will change colors, and you can move each fader to adjust the channel\u2019s <strong>GAIN<\/strong> level.<ul><li>Press the <strong>SELECT\/ADJUST<\/strong> encoder to toggle 48V phantom power for MIC 1 and\/or MIC 2.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Release the <strong>MAIN<\/strong> button, and the fader will control the <strong>CHANNEL<\/strong> level.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Auto-calibrate-with-EZ-Gain\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader darkBlueHeader alignLeft underline customh3 swheader\">Auto-calibrate with EZ Gain<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Press and hold both the <strong>MON 1&nbsp;<\/strong>and the<strong>&nbsp;MON <\/strong>&nbsp;buttons at the same time.<\/li><li>Using the&nbsp;<strong>SELECT\/ADJUST<\/strong>&nbsp;encoder, either select one input or <strong>ALL<\/strong> for all inputs.<\/li><li>Press the&nbsp;<strong>SELECT\/ADJUST<\/strong>&nbsp;encoder to start the calibration.<\/li><li>Sing\/speak\/play through the channel(s), and the mixer will auto-calibrate the gain and channel level. It will even switch on +48V (phantom power) when necessary.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Main-and-monitor-levels\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader darkBlueHeader alignLeft underline customh3 swheader\">Main and monitor levels<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Press the <strong>MAIN<\/strong> button, and the faders will control the MAIN mix.<\/li><li>Press the <strong>MON 1<\/strong> button, and the faders will control the MONITOR SEND 1 mix.<ul><li>The MAIN fader will now control the <strong>MON 1<\/strong> level.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Press the <strong>MON 2<\/strong> button, and the faders will control the MONITOR SEND 2 mix.<ul><li>The MAIN fader will now control the <strong>MON 2<\/strong> level.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Effects-FX-levels\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader darkBlueHeader alignLeft underline customh3 swheader\">Effects (FX) levels<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Press the <strong>FX 1 <\/strong>button, and the faders will control the FX 1 mix.<ul><li>The MAIN fader will now control the <strong>FX 1 <\/strong>level.<\/li><li>Rotate and press the <strong>SELECT\/ADJUST<\/strong> encoder to select a <strong>Reverb<\/strong>, <strong>Flanger<\/strong>, or <strong>Chorus<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Press the <strong>FX 2<\/strong> button, and the faders will control the FX 2 mix.<ul><li>The MAIN fader will now control the <strong>FX 2<\/strong> level.<\/li><li>Rotate and press the <strong>SELECT\/ADJUST<\/strong> encoder to select a <strong>Delay\/Echo<\/strong>, <strong>Flanger<\/strong>, or <strong>Chorus<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"USB-connectivity\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader blackHeader alignLeft noUnderline customh2 swheader\">USB connectivity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Mac\/macOS:<\/strong> Connect FLOW 8 to a Mac, and it will automatically connect as an audio interface. <\/li><li><strong>PC\/Windows:<\/strong> First download and install the FLOW 8 USB driver software. That means you\u2019ll select FLOW 8\u2019s MAIN mix for\nthe streaming software\u2019s input.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Press the <strong>MENU<\/strong> button.<\/li><li>Rotate and press the <strong>SELECT\/ADJUST<\/strong> encoder to select <strong>USB-MODE<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Rotate and press the <strong>SELECT\/ADJUST<\/strong> encoder to select the <strong>STREAMING <\/strong>mode.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Monitor-USB-playback\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader darkBlueHeader alignLeft underline customh3 swheader\">Monitor USB playback<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The BT\/USB knob is the default control for both USB and\nBluetooth playback levels, regardless of Recording or Streaming modes. You can\nalso control the computer\u2019s two stereo audio streams to FLOW 8\u2019s channels 5\/6\nand 7\/8. That\u2019s useful if you want to control the Bluetooth audio with the\nBT\/USB encoder and the computer audio with faders 5\/6 or 7\/8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Press the <strong>MENU<\/strong> button.<\/li><li>Rotate and press the <strong>SELECT\/ADJUST<\/strong> encoder to select <strong>INPUT<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Rotate and press the <strong>SELECT\/ADJUST<\/strong> encoder to select either channels <strong>5\/6<\/strong> or <strong>7\/8<\/strong>.<ul><li>For 5\/6, select either <strong>LINE IN<\/strong> or <strong>USB 1\/2.<\/strong><\/li><li>For 7\/8, select either <strong>LINE IN<\/strong> or <strong>USB 3\/4.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Bluetooth-setup\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader blackHeader alignLeft noUnderline customh2 swheader\">Bluetooth setup<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have not yet done so, make sure to update FLOW 8\u2019s\nfirmware before connecting with Bluetooth. Once done, you can connect to FLOW 8\nto stream audio or even remote control the mixer\u2019s settings. Use the MENU\nbutton and SELECT\/ADJUST encoder to select the Bluetooth connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f2f1f0\"><strong>IMPORTANT!<\/strong><br>The FLOW 8 app is loaded with features and remote-control capabilities for your FLOW 8 mixer.
