Follow the sections below to get started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li><a href=\"#Initial-setup\"><strong>Initial setup<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"#Creating-sound-on-a-Poly-D\">Creating sound on a Poly D<\/a><\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Initial-setup\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader blackHeader alignLeft noUnderline customh2 swheader\">Initial setup<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Poly D is a fascinating polyphonic synth to play with and is a great analog synth to add to your studio and live setup. While it\u2019s tempting just to plug it in and start playing, you need to power it on and leave it for about 15 minutes, so the circuitry has time to warm up to operating temperature. Like other analog synths, this ensures that it will be in tune by the time you start playing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"background-color:#05629c;color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-text-color has-background\"><strong>TIP: <\/strong>The amount of time it takes to warm up is all dependent on the ambient room temperature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:5px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f2f1f0\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<div style=\"height:5px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Connect the Poly D to your sound system. From leads to basses and pads, there isn\u2019t much the Poly D can\u2019t do. Dialing in the right sound is straightforward, too. We\u2019ll show you how to get a basic sound to get you up and running. After you\u2019ve dialed in that perfect sound, take a photo of the settings or use a blank patch sheet to write them down for later recall!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Controllers\" blackHeader alignLeft noUnderline customh4 swheader\">Mono, Uni, or Poly mode?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The sound is not only dependent on settings on the oscillators, filters, etc., but it is also dependent on if it\u2019s set to monophonic <em>(mono)<\/em>, polyphonic <em>(poly)<\/em>, or unison <em>(uni)<\/em>. When set to <strong>Mono <\/strong><em>(monophonic)<\/em>, all oscillators that are turned on will be allocated to one voice which means you can play one note at a time. <strong>Poly <\/strong><em>(polyphonic)<\/em> evenly splits the oscillators across four voices, which allows you to play four-note chords. <strong>Uni <\/strong><em>(unison)<\/em> is a little similar to <strong>Mono<\/strong> in that it will trigger all oscillators that are turned on, but it provides a different timbre to the sound.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube
