Getting started<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In this guide, we will show you how to download and activate the Rekordbox software that was bundled with your Pioneer DJ hardware. Follow the steps below to get started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Create an account<\/strong><\/a><\/li>
  2. Download and install<\/strong><\/a><\/li>
  3. Activate<\/strong> the software<\/strong><\/a><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    IMPORTANT!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    You cannot activate rekordbox version 6 with the license key you received with your hardware. Version 6 is subscription-based<\/strong> only, so unless you wish to upgrade, you must <\/strong>use version 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Create an account<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The first step in activating your rekordbox software is to create an account. The process is straight forward. All you need to do is go to the account registration page<\/a>, enter your credentials, then click Join Pioneer DJ<\/strong>.

    Download and install<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Since you\u2019ll have to use rekordbox version 5, you\u2019ll need to go to the rekordbox 5 FAQ page and download the latest version.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Go to the rekordbox 5 FAQ page<\/a>, Click the \u201cI want to use previous rekordbox\u2026.<\/strong>\u201d dropdown box, then click on the latest version for your OS.<\/li>
    2. Navigate to your Downloads <\/em>folder, then locate the .zip<\/strong> file.<\/li>
    3. Extract the installer file, then launch the installer and follow the on-screen prompts.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

      Activate the software<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      The final step in the process is to launch the software, log into your account, then complete the activation process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
