Connecting the GO XLR to gaming consoles and computers is straightforward. It\u2019s important to note that the GO XLR is only compatible with Microsoft Windows at the moment. Your computer must have an Ethernet port, as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"Hardware-connections\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader darkBlueHeader alignLeft underline customh3 swheader\">Hardware connections<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are multiple ways you can connect the GO XLR to external sources. Depending on the application and what gear you\u2019re using, you may need additional cables or adapters, so make sure you have everything you need beforehand. Here are some tips when connecting your gear:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>If your headphones have a \u00bc\u201d connector, you\u2019ll need a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/store\/detail\/GMP112--hosa-gmp-112-1-4-inch-to-mini-stereo-headphone-adapter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">\u00bc\u201d to 3.5mm headphone adapter<\/a>.<\/li><li>If your headset has a microphone you wish to use <em>(typically used in gaming)<\/em>, but it only has one connector, you\u2019ll need to get a 3.5mm splitter <em>(also known as a <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/insync\/y-cable\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\"><em>Y-cable<\/em><\/a><em>)<\/em>.<\/li><li>To connect your gaming console to the GO XLR, you\u2019ll need an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/c849--Optical_Cables?params=eyJmYWNldCI6eyJCcmFuZCI6WyJIb3NhIl19fQ&amp;sb=popular\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">optical cable<\/a> to connect it from the <em>Optical OUT <\/em>of your computer to the <em>Optical IN (controller icon)<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/li><li>When using a <strong><em>single <\/em><\/strong>computer, use the <em>Line OUT (black) <\/em>on the GO XLR and connect it to the <em>Line IN (light blue) <\/em>on your computer.<\/li><li>When using <strong><em>multiple <\/em><\/strong>computers, use the <em>Line OUT (black) <\/em>on the GO XLR to the <em>Line IN (light blue) <\/em>on your computer. Doing this will make sure your GO XLR functions correctly. This means any software that uses your GO XLR needs to recognize that your GO XLR is the correct input and output device. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Right-click the <strong>Speaker <\/strong>icon on the taskbar and select <strong>Open Sound Settings<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Choose the GO XLR from the <em>Output <\/em>and <em>Input <\/em>dropdown boxes.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Test the output by scrolling down and selecting <strong>Sound Control Panel<\/strong>, click the <strong>Playback <\/strong>tab, right-click the GO XLR<strong>, <\/strong>then click <strong>Test<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"My-TC-Helicon-GO-XLR-isn-t-showing-up\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader blackHeader alignLeft underline customh4 swheader\">My TC-Helicon GO XLR isn&#8217;t showing up!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the GO XLR isn\u2019t showing up in the Windows Sound Settings, disconnect then reconnect the device and try a different USB port or cable. You can change the pads&#8217; color, add EQ, compression, gates, and de-essing, but more importantly, this is where you&#8217;ll update your mic&#8217;s settings. TC-Helicon made mic setup in the app easy, so follow these steps to change your mic settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Go to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tchelicon.com\/en\/products\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Products page on the TC Helicon website<\/a> and search for your product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Open your product&#8217;s apage and click <strong>Downloads<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under &#8220;Windows,&#8221;
