In this guide, we\u2019ll show you how to set up and work with the Zoom H6 recorder for the first time. Follow the sections below to get started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How to register the Zoom H6<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The first thing you\u2019ll want to do when you open the box is to register the H6 with Zoom. To register the H6 with Zoom, you\u2019ll need the serial number located on the back. Follow these steps below to register the Zoom H6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Go to Zoom\u2019s product registration page<\/a>.<\/li>
    2. Fill out the information, including the serial number which is located on the back of the Zoom H6, and then click Submit<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

      Format the Zoom H6 SD card<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      IMPORTANT: <\/strong>Formatting the SD card will erase any data that is currently stored on there. Be sure that anything important has been backed up to your computer before continuing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Before you can use the Zoom H6, you have to format the SD card on the H6 in order for it to work. It\u2019s a very simple process so follow these steps to format the SD card on the Zoom H6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Insert the SD card into the slot located on the left, then turn the H6 on.<\/li>
      2. Press the MENU<\/strong> button, use the SCROLL <\/strong>button to scroll to SD CARD<\/em>.<\/li>
      3. Press the SCROLL <\/strong>button, scroll to Format<\/em>, then press the SCROLL <\/strong>button again.<\/li>
      4. Scroll to Yes<\/em>, then press the SCROLL <\/strong>button to format the SD card.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

        Card protected error<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        If you insert the SD card into the Zoom H6 and see a Card protected <\/em>message on the display, take the card out of the H6 and check the security tab on the SD card. If the switch is set to protected mode, the SD card is \u201clocked\u201d so no data can be stored onto it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        If your Zoom H6 isn\u2019t recognizing the SD card or you continue to receive errors, please make sure that the SD card is compatible with the device.         Recording audio on the Zoom H6<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        Recording audio on the Zoom H6 couldn\u2019t be easier. You can have up to 10 projects at a time, and you can record a limitless amount of tracks inside each project. The way that it works is that each Folder <\/strong>(Project) <\/em>contains a folder inside which stores all of your audio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. Press the MENU <\/strong>button, use the SCROLL <\/strong>button, navigate to REC <\/strong>then press the SCROLL <\/em>button again.<\/li>
        2. Navigate to Rec Format<\/strong>, choose the desired format, then press the SCROLL <\/em>button to confirm.<\/li>
        3. Press one of the four channel buttons to select the track you want to record on. Hold two of the buttons together to record it as a stereo track.<\/li>
        4. Begin performing and adjust the audio levels. Be sure not to turn it up too much, as you may start clipping.<\/li>
        5. Press the RECORD<\/strong> button to begin recording. Press the STOP <\/strong>button once you\u2019re finished.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
