Upon registration, you\u2019ll receive access to the <em>Sound Collective<\/em>, which is a group of free plug-ins sent every few months. You\u2019ll also be activating Novation&#8217;s 3-year warranty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f3f2f1\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<div style=\u201dpadding: 10px;\u201d>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Log in to your <a href=\"https:\/\/customer.novationmusic.com\/en\/register\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">Novation account<\/a>. If you don\u2019t have one, you can create it <a href=\"https:\/\/customer.novationmusic.com\/en\/register\/signup\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">here<\/a>.<\/li><li>Once you\u2019re logged in, click <strong>My Hardware<\/strong>, and select<strong> Register A New Product<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Use the dropdown boxes to select the AFX Station, enter the <em>Serial Number <\/em>then click <strong>Set Serial Number<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Go to the <strong>My Software <\/strong>section of your Novation account to access your free bundled software.&nbsp;<ul><li>You will receive an email periodically, notifying you of the new plug-ins that you\u2019ll have access to. This will ensure that it works correctly. It has all of the standard connections you would find in a modern synth, like USB, MIDI In and Out, and headphone and line inputs. Here are a few tips when setting up your Novation Bass Station II:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Connect all of your gear before turning everything on. This will help reduce the risk of loud pops.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The Bass Station II has a powerful headphone amplifier. When connecting your headphones, turn the headphone knob down and gradually turn it up to a comfortable listening level.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>MIDI can\u2019t be sent between your computer and any external hardware connected via the Bass Station II MIDI DIN ports.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The Bass Station II is bus-powered, meaning that you can use your computer\u2019s USB port to power it. We recommend connecting it directly to your computer, as USB hubs <em>(primarily passive)<\/em> may not provide enough power.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>If you\u2019re powering the Bass Station II via USB on a laptop, Novation recommends that the laptop\u2019s AC power connector be plugged in. You can store up to 128 patches, which is plenty to get creative! You can also use the <em>Components <\/em>software to store multiple banks of presets, which means any patches and banks you\u2019ve created can be recalled at any time!&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Loading a patch is as simple as using the <strong>Patch <\/strong>pads underneath the LED display. After it\u2019s loaded, feel free to experiment and tweak the parameters any way you\u2019d like! If you like how it sounds, make sure to save it because it will disappear as soon as you go to a new preset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"How-to-save-patches-on-the-Bass-Station-II\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader darkBlueHeader alignLeft underline customh3 swheader\">How to save patches on the Bass Station II<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can save custom patches on your Bass Station II to either a factory preset slot <em>(patch slots 0-63) <\/em>or an empty user slot <em>(patch slot 64-128)<\/em>.
