Press the knob <em>(called the <\/em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/insync\/encoder\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>encoder<\/em><\/a><em>)<\/em> to the right of the screen to get to the next \u201cSINEVIBES\u201d window, and once more to get to the main screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right\">  <a href=\"#Getting-started-with-the-Dreadbox-Typhon\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"button flat s blue\">Return to top<\/a>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Exploring-factory-presets-on-your-Typhon\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader blackHeader alignLeft noUnderline customh2 swheader\">Exploring factory presets on your Typhon<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Connect the <em>Left <\/em>and <em>Right <\/em>1\/4\u201d <em>Output <\/em>jacks to a mixer or amp, or connect headphones with an 1\/8\u201d plug to the jack with the <strong>Headphone <\/strong>symbol.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f2f1f0\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<div style=\u201dpadding: 10px;\u201d>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>If you own a MIDI keyboard or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/c513--MIDI_Controllers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">MIDI controller<\/a> with a standard 5-pin <strong><em>MIDI Out<\/em><\/strong> jack, connect it with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/c853--MIDI_Cables\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"MIDI cable (opens in a new tab)\">MIDI cable<\/a> to the MIDI In jack on the Typhon. The initial MIDI Channel is set to <strong>ALL<\/strong>, so any MIDI channel you send will work.&nbsp;<ul><li>If you don\u2019t have a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/c513--MIDI_Controllers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">MIDI controller<\/a> handy you can still play the sequences that are included on many of the Factory presets. If you have a DAW on your computer you can send MIDI to your Typhon via the USB cable.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Play the Typhon with either the MIDI keyboard, MIDI controller, or with your DAW. If you have none of those, simply press the first of the four buttons under the screen which will Start and Stop the sequencer. Bring the volume knob up slowly until you have a comfortable listening level.<\/li><li>To try the next preset press the third button that says <strong>LOAD<\/strong>, and then press the encoder knob (to the left of the screen) once to select the <strong>A<\/strong> Bank. Now use the encoder to scroll to preset 2 and press the encoder one more time to load it.&nbsp;<ul><li>This method allows you to choose any of the 64 presets from any of the four Banks (<strong><em>A, B, C, D<\/em><\/strong>). Explore the possibilities of each knob without fear because, unless you save those changes, they will disappear as soon as you go to a new preset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>If you want to tweak the Amplitude<em> (volume)<\/em> Envelope, press the button to the left of the sliders. You can now use the first four sliders to change the Amp EG\u2018s <em>(Envelope Generator)<\/em> Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release <em>(you may hear the term <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/insync\/adsr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\"><em>ADSR<\/em><\/a><em>) <\/em>segments. Pressing the button to the right of the sliders will toggle between <strong>AMP EG<\/strong> and <strong>FILTER EG<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>If you want to try making changes to the three <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/insync\/modulator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\"><em>Modulators<\/em><\/a>, make sure that the <strong>FILTER EG\/AMP EG<\/strong> button is not lit. This makes the screen display the main page with <em>M1<\/em>, <em>M2<\/em>, and <em>M3<\/em> at the top left of the screen. Now, the encoder knob on the top right of your Typhon will let you scroll to <em>M1<\/em>, <em>M2<\/em>, or <em>M3<\/em> and the five sliders allow you to edit the parameters of that <em>Modulator<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The <strong>SHIFT <\/strong>button<em> (to the right of the sliders) <\/em>lets you change the <em>Modulation <\/em>type for that <em>Modulator<\/em>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>If you want to try making changes to the three digital FX, make sure that the<strong> FILTER EG\/AMP EG<\/strong> button is not lit. This makes the screen display the main page with <em>FX1<\/em>, <em>FX2<\/em>, and <em>FX3<\/em> at the top right of the screen.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Now, the encoder knob will let you scroll to <em>FX1<\/em>, <em>FX2<\/em>, or <em>FX3<\/em> and the five sliders will allow you to edit the parameters of that effect. (Banks <strong>C <\/strong>and <strong>D <\/strong>are empty for your use.) Then, scroll the encoder knob to select where you want to store your preset and press one more time.
