What is this? Is something coming apart? &#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This\nis known as the chassis tension screw (or bolt) . It it used to stop rattles in\nthe chassis from acoustic vibration in the cabinet due to the powerful\nspeakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is a long bolt\/screw that reaches all the way to the wooden cabinet above to cause a dampening effect to vibrations in the metal. It normally does stick out and <strong>IS NOT<\/strong> tightened down very much.
