Accessed from the <strong>Library<\/strong> menu, Snapshots are settings that can be recalled to configure the entire console or just certain sections, like channels, sources, etc.. That makes it easy to save and recall unique settings for each performance. Saving your settings has always been a good thing to do, but WING makes it easy to recall <em>whatever<\/em> you need <em>whenever<\/em> you might need it. Each AES50 port supports up to 48 input <strong>and<\/strong> 48 output signals <em>(96 total audio streams)<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For stage boxes, each input and output will occupy the AES50 streams respective to its position in the network chain. That means the first stage box will occupy its respective AES50 input and output channels first, followed by the second stage box and then the third. Any I\/O streams that exceed each port\u2019s respective 48 input or output streams will not pass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>AES50 is supported on CAT5 or CAT5E cables up to 100 meters long.<\/li><li>Use an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/store\/detail\/DN9630--klark-teknik-dn9630-aes50-to-usb-2.0-converter\">AES50 to USB 2.0 Converter<\/a> to convert an AES50 connection into a USB recording\/playback interface.<\/li><li>MIDAS DL251, DL15x, DL231 stage boxes are supported with firmware 1.05+<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>AES50 input configuration<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f1f3f4\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<ol><li>Press the <strong>Routing<\/strong> menu button and select the <strong>inputs<\/strong> icon <em>(right of the SD icons)<\/em>.<\/li><li>Press the Source Group drop-down menu and select an AES50 port <em>(A, B, or C)<\/em> to see its available sources.<\/li><li>Select an AES50 source to set it up:<ol><li>Press <strong>Customize<\/strong> to name it and select an icon.<\/li><li>Press <strong>Tags<\/strong> to add IDs for recallability and mute grouping.<\/li><li>Choose a <strong>Mono<\/strong>, <strong>Stereo<\/strong>, or <strong>Mid\/Side<\/strong> configuration.<\/li><li>Adjust the <strong>Gain <\/strong>and <strong>48V<\/strong> phantom power as necessary.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>Configure all your sources and start mixing.<\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>AES50 output configuration<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f1f3f4\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<ol><li>Press the <strong>Routing<\/strong> menu button and select the <strong>outputs<\/strong> icon <em>(right of the SD icons)<\/em>.<\/li><li>Press the <strong>Source Group<\/strong> drop-down menu and select an AES50 port <em>(A, B, or C)<\/em> to configure its outputs channels.<\/li><li>Press the <strong>Unlock<\/strong> icon and then select the output sources:<ul><li>Press <strong>Source Group<\/strong> to browse sources.<\/li><li>Press the <strong>None<\/strong> icon to clear a source.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Press the <strong>Lock<\/strong> icon to complete configuration.<\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>Ultranet and P16 Mixers<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>WING does not have an Ultranet connection, but the last 16 streams of each AES50 port (33-48) are automatically converted to Ultranet and distributed by SD stage boxes and X32 mixers. So, if you want to route signals to your P16 mixers, assign the desired sources on WING to outputs 33-48 of the connected AES50 port. Those channels will automatically be routed to the peripheral\u2019s Ultranet outputs. Once connected you can stream up to 48 channels of USB audio, both to <strong>and<\/strong> from your computer. This is useful if you want to record the WING audio directly to your computer or play audio from a DAW session to WING <em>(or both at the same time!)<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WING supports up to 48 channels of USB audio input and output streaming, but you can also reconfigure it to stream either 2, 8, 16, 32 channels from the Setup menu. That makes it easy to record your signal sources directly to the SD card or playback audio for virtual soundchecks. USB flash drives connect to the <strong>USB AUDIO\/DATA<\/strong> port and can stream up to 4 mono audio channels <em>(2 stereo tracks)<\/em> at a time. Routing to User Signal \u2018virtual channels\u2019 is generally used to reroute channels or busses post-fader, rather than their default pre-fader tap point. That allows you to route channels <strong>with<\/strong> their WING processing.
