How to update Boss Katana firmware<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In this guide, we will show you how to perform a firmware update to your Boss Katana amp. Follow the sections below to get started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Check the firmware version<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    IMPORTANT: <\/strong>Be sure that you are downloading the correct system version for your device. For example, if you have a Katana-Head MKII, it will not <\/strong>be compatible with the Katana-Head system version and installing it may brick the unit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Boss Katana firmware updates typically add new features and bug fixes to the internal software. If you receive a message on Boss Tone Central saying that your device is out of date, this typically means you will need to update to the latest firmware. Before performing an update, however, check which firmware version you\u2019re currently on and compare it to the latest System Program<\/em> version<\/a> for your device listed on Boss\u2019s website. Follow these steps to check which system program version you have on your Katana. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
