To view a full list of compatible mobile devices, check out iZotope\u2019s <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/support.izotope.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/360025333254-Tech-Specs\" target=\"_blank\">Spire tech specs page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Spire Studio interface and app are compatible with both Android and iOS devices. For them to work, however, you will need to download the Spire Studio Controller app. You\u2019ll use the app to record your songs and perform firmware updates, as well. Just go to the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.izotope.spire&amp;hl=en_US\" target=\"_blank\">Google Play Store<\/a> (Android) or <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/spire-music-recorder\/id1013021109\" target=\"_blank\">App Store<\/a> (iOS) and download the latest version of the Spire Studio Controller app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The Spire app does not have a standalone version for Android devices. During the pairing process, you will be prompted to register the device with iZotope and update the firmware. Follow the app\u2019s on-screen instructions or follow the steps below to pair and register the Spire Studio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f2f1f0\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<div style=\"height:5px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Launch the Spire Studio Controller app and turn on the interface. Be sure to use the included power supply, as third-party power supplies may not work correctly.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Go to the WiFi settings on your mobile device and connect to <strong>SpireStudio-xxxxxx<\/strong>.&nbsp;<ul><li><strong>Android<\/strong> <strong>users<\/strong>: You will also need to enable the Location service and approve the Spire.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Press and hold the <strong>New Song <\/strong>and <strong>Volume <\/strong>buttons to pair the device when they begin flashing.<\/li><li>Fill out the registration form and press <strong>Connect<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:5px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"spire-studio-firmware-update\" style=\"text-align: left; font-size: 200%; font-weight: bold; color: #333333;\">Spire Studio firmware update<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When there is a firmware update available for your Spire Studio, you will be prompted to update it when you launch the app. The update requires an internet connection and may take some time, so be sure you have a good cellular signal. Follow these steps to update the firmware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f2f1f0\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<div style=\"height:5px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Press <strong>Download <\/strong>when the firmware update notification appears on the app.<\/li><li>After the download is complete, go into your mobile device\u2019s WiFi settings and reconnect to the Spire network.<\/li><li>Press <strong>Apply mandatory firmware update<\/strong> and then press <strong>Okay, let\u2019s do this<\/strong>.
