Before we dive in, the first thing you\u2019ll need to do is register the controller with Roland. By registering the product, you\u2019ll receive a free copy of Serato DJ Pro, as well as access to Roland\u2019s Cloud Academy; a series of online training courses for your Roland DJ controller. Follow these steps to register your DJ-707M.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n- Log in to your Roland account<\/a>. If you don\u2019t have one yet, you can create one here<\/a>.<\/li>
- Navigate to the Roland Cloud Academy page<\/a> and fill out the registration form at the bottom of the page.<\/li>
- Open a web browser and go to the Roland support page<\/a> and type DJ-707M<\/em>.<\/li>
- Locate the latest driver listed and then download and install it.
- The DJ-707M is class-compliant on Windows 10, which means no additional driver software is necessary. All other Windows users will need to download the driver. <\/li><\/ul><\/li>
- Download & install Serato DJ Pro from the Serato website here<\/a>.<\/li>
- Connect the DJ-707M to your computer and launch Serato to activate the software.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

There are many ways to incorporate the DJ-707M into your DJ rig. Setting up the DJ-707M is fast and easy, and making\n the connections are straightforward, which means you\u2019ll be up and running in no time. Follow these steps below to\n get connected.
<\/p>\n\n\n\nHardware<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n- Connect any external hardware such as microphones, turntables, or media players and turn the levels\n all the way down.

- If you\u2019re connecting an analog turntable to Ch 1 <\/strong>or Ch 2<\/strong>,\n make sure to connect the turntable\u2019s ground terminal to the PHONO GROUND<\/strong>.\n This will prevent noise from the turntable.<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <\/li>
- Connect any speakers you will be using to the appropriate outputs on the controller.<\/li>
- Connect the controller to a computer (or computers) via USB. Be sure not to use a USB hub, as that\n may not provide enough power to transfer data.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\nWhat’s the Zone Out connection used for?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Zone Out is an additional set of outputs used for when you need to send audio to a different\n room which is separate from the MASTER <\/strong>or BOOTH OUT<\/strong>. These outputs are convenient\n if, for example, you\u2019re playing at a gig and want speakers in the green room for background music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n- With the controller connected to the computer, power it on and then launch your DJ software. \n

- Depending on the DJ software you\u2019re using, you may need to go into the software\u2019s settings\n for additional configuration. Refer to the software manufacturer\u2019s user manual for more\n information.<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <\/li>
- Use the Input Select <\/strong>switch and set channels 1 and 2 to PC<\/strong>.<\/li>
- Load a track into your software, press play to make sure you\u2019re getting output, and then adjust the\n levels on the controller as needed.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

IMPORTANT: <\/strong>If using an iOS device, DJ software cannot be used.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

- On the DJ-707M, Press the MENU <\/strong>button, turn the SELECT <\/strong>knob to\n select System Settings<\/strong> and then press the knob.<\/li>
- Turn the SELECT <\/strong>knob to select PC-B USB<\/em>, press the knob, and then select\n Generic<\/em>.
