Follow each of the sections below to get started.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li><a href=\"#Register-the-activation-code\"><strong>Register the activation code<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><strong><a href=\"#Download-and-install-Max\">Download and install Max<\/a><\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Register-the-activation-code\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader blackHeader alignLeft noUnderline customh2 swheader\">Register the activation code<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You need to register with Cycling 74 before accessing your Max software. Check the Software Activation Instructions email sent from your Sales Engineer to get the required activation code. During registration, you\u2019ll be prompted to select an authorization method, either online by using your Cycling 74 login or with an iLok USB dongle. Most users will choose the online method, but follow our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/sweetcare\/articles\/ilok-license-manager-tutorial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">iLok Setup Guide<\/a> before continuing with iLok licensing. Max subscriptions cannot be authorized via iLok.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f2f1f0\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<div style=\"height:5px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Go to <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/cycling74.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cycling 74\u2019s site<\/a> and click the <strong>SIGN IN\/CREATE ACCOUNT<\/strong> button <em>(top right)<\/em>.<\/li><li>When prompted for your login, either sign in or click <strong>Create Account <\/strong>to<strong> <\/strong>create one.<\/li><li>Go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/cycling74.com\/activate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">activation page<\/a>, enter the <strong>activation code<\/strong> and click <strong>Activate<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Choose your activation method:&nbsp;<ul><li><strong>Cycling 74 account <em>(online authorization)<\/em>:<\/strong> authorize Max online with your Cycling 74 login.<\/li><li><strong>iLok:<\/strong> use your Max license on an iLok USB dongle which is required to launch the software.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:5px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:5px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right\"><a href=\"#Getting-started\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"button flat s blue\">Return to top<\/a>   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Download-and-install-Max\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader blackHeader alignLeft noUnderline customh2 swheader\">Download and install Max<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once registered with Cycling 74, you can download and install Max. If during activation you chose the online authorization method, you\u2019ll sign in to the app. If you chose to authorize the software with iLok, use the iLok License Manager to transfer the license to a connected iLok USB dongle.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f2f1f0\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<div style=\"height:5px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Go to the Cycling 74 <a href=\"https:\/\/cycling74.com\/downloads\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">download page<\/a>.<\/li><li>Click the <strong>Mac<\/strong> or <strong>Win<\/strong> download button for your operating system, or click the <strong>Looking for\u2026?<\/strong> button to change the operating system type.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Open your <strong>Downloads<\/strong> folder and launch the installer file:<ul><li><strong>PC:<\/strong> Right-click the Max <em>.zip<\/em> file, select <strong>Extract all\u2026<\/strong>, and then click <strong>Extract<\/strong>. Double-click the new Max <em>.exe<\/em> file and follow the on-screen instructions.<\/li><li><strong>Mac:<\/strong> Double-click the Max <em>.dmg<\/em> file and, when prompted, click <strong>Agree<\/strong>. Click and drag the Max app to the Applications folder.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Launch the Max app. Click the <strong>Help<\/strong> menu and select <strong>User Account and Licenses<\/strong>.
