  1. Use a USB cable to connect the USB<\/strong> port to your computer.<\/li>
  2. Use a Cat5e ethernet cable to connect the Control<\/strong> port to your computer.
    • (optional) For wireless DAW control, connect the mixer to a wireless router and then connect your computer to the wireless network.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
    • Launch Universal Control, navigate to the Preferences dropdown, and select the Network MIDI<\/strong> tab. <\/span><\/li>
    • Place a check by the mixer’s name, and press <\/span>Apply<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>
    • Press the mixer\u2019s UCNET<\/strong> button and select HUI Control Emulation<\/strong>. <\/li>
    • Check that the Software Control<\/strong> button (bottom right of the screen)<\/em> is highlighted blue and then press UCNET<\/strong> exit. <\/li>
    • Launch Pro Tools, click the Peripherals<\/strong> menu and select MIDI Controllers<\/strong>. <\/li>
    • From top to bottom, add a HUI <\/strong>assignment for every 8 channels the mixer has.<\/li>
    • For Send To and Receive From, assign the first controller to StudioLive Main<\/strong> and the rest to EXT 1<\/strong>, EXT 2<\/strong>, and EXT 3<\/strong> (in order)<\/em>. <\/li>
    • Click OK<\/strong> and then press the DAW<\/strong> button on the mixer to complete the setup.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
