The first step in the troubleshooting process is to check the cables and pads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Disconnect and reconnect the cable, and ensure it is fully inserted. If that doesn\u2019t work, connect the cable from the faulty trigger to a working pad.<ul><li>If the pad triggers, that means the cable is working.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Check that each cable is connected to the correct pad, and if your module has 1\/4-inch I\/O connections, be sure you connect to the right trigger input and output.<ul><li>The cables are often labeled for your convenience, making it easier to recognize which cable goes to which pad.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4>Are the cymbal pads not choking?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Some cymbal pads have multiple zones, meaning you can trigger different sounds (e.g., bell, choke, crash).
