By doing so, you\u2019ll be able to access all of the bundled software, including MPC Beats, the AIR Hybrid, and AIR Wobble virtual instruments. Keep your Sweetwater invoice handy, as you\u2019ll need that during the registration process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Log into your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.akaipro.com\/customer\/account\/login\/\">AKAI account<\/a>. The MPC Mini comes with free copies of MPC Beats, AIR Music Tech virtual instruments, a license to MPC Beats Academy, and much more! Follow these steps to download and install the bundled software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Go to the bottom of the page on your account page, click&nbsp;<strong>MPK Mini Software<\/strong>, then click installer for your OS.<\/li><li>Navigate to your&nbsp;<em>Downloads&nbsp;<\/em>folder, launch the MPK mini Software installer file, and then follow the on-screen instructions.<\/li><li>During the installation process, you will be asked to connect your MPK mini and choose the software you wish to download.<ul><li>All instruments and sound packs will be located in the MPC mini Software Manager, so feel free to download and install them at any time you\u2019d like.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"Hybrid-Mini-Grand-and-Velvet-software-activation\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader darkBlueHeader alignLeft underline customh3 swheader\">Hybrid, Mini Grand, and Velvet software activation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hybrid, Mini Grand, and Velvet are third-party virtual instruments that are activated via iLok. Just connect the USB cable from the device to a computer to power it on. The MPK Mini is class-compliant, which means no additional drivers are necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s also bus-powered, but we recommend connecting it directly to the computer or using a powered USB hub. Connecting it to an unpowered hub can result in loss of connectivity and performance. Follow these steps to get connected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Connect the USB cable into the computer or powered USB hub.<\/li><li>Navigate to your computer\u2019s device settings to ensure that the device is recognized.<ul><li><strong>PC<\/strong>: Go to <strong>Device Manager,<\/strong> then click<strong> Sound, video and game controllers <\/strong>to verify it\u2019s listed.<\/li><li><strong>Mac<\/strong>: Go to <strong>Applications<\/strong>, then click <strong>Utilities and System Information<\/strong>.
