If there is, compare its version number with the number installed on your hardware. If the installer is newer, download it and follow these instructions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Open your&nbsp;<strong>Downloads<\/strong>&nbsp;folder and&nbsp;decompress the&nbsp;<strong>.zip<\/strong>&nbsp;file:<ul><li> <strong>PC:<\/strong>&nbsp;Right-click the&nbsp;<strong>.zip<\/strong>&nbsp;file and select&nbsp;<strong>Extract all\u2026<\/strong>. Each mode works with DAW\u2019s and has different features so make sure you use the right one for your DAW. Follow the steps below to select the applicable mode for your X-Touch controller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"X-Touch-ONE\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader darkBlueHeader alignLeft underline customh3 swheader\">X-Touch ONE<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/store\/detail\/XTouchOne--behringer-by-touch-one\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">X-Touch One<\/a>&nbsp;can be configured for a specific DAW mode or one of the standard protocols (MC, HUI, or MIDI). We recommend selecting your DAW\u2019s mode and then using the included overlay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Press and hold the&nbsp;<strong>encoder knob<\/strong>&nbsp;while powering on the device.<ul><li><em>(optional)<\/em>&nbsp;While already powered on, hold down the&nbsp;<strong>Stop<\/strong>&nbsp;button and press the&nbsp;<strong>encoder<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Rotate the&nbsp;<strong>encoder<\/strong>&nbsp;to browse DAW modes and then&nbsp;<strong>press it<\/strong>&nbsp;to select the default mode.<ul><li><em>(optional)<\/em>&nbsp;Immediately after, rotate and press&nbsp;the&nbsp;<strong>encoder<\/strong>&nbsp;to adjust and set the LCD contrast and LED brightness.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"X-Touch-COMPACT-and-X-Touch-MINI\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader darkBlueHeader alignLeft underline customh3 swheader\">X-Touch COMPACT and X-Touch MINI<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Both the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/store\/detail\/XTouchC--behringer-by-touch-compact\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">X-Touch Compact<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/store\/detail\/XTouchMini--behringer-by-touch-mini\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">X-Touch Mini<\/a>&nbsp;will operate in standard or MC mode. The Mackie Control protocol\/controller personality is preferred for DAW control, but the Standard mode works well as a generic MIDI controller and with MIDI learn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Press and hold down the&nbsp;<strong>MC<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>button<\/strong>&nbsp;in the bottom left corner while powering on the device.<\/li><li>Continue holding the&nbsp;<strong>MC button<\/strong>&nbsp;until the&nbsp;<strong>MC MODE<\/strong>&nbsp;LED lights up, indicating the unit is in MC mode.<ul><li><em>(optional)<\/em>&nbsp;Return to the standard operating mode by repeating the above steps&nbsp;<em>(MC MODE LED will turn off)<\/em>.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"X-Touch-or-X-Touch-EXTENDER\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader darkBlueHeader alignLeft underline customh3 swheader\">X-Touch or X-Touch EXTENDER<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;X-Touch&nbsp;and&nbsp;X-Touch Extender&nbsp;can be connected and configured via USB, MIDI, or local network. All you need to do is select the operation mode and connection type, and then configure your DAW settings. When connecting multiple X-Touch or Extenders to each other, set their operation mode to Mackie Control XT so that they synchronize with each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Press and hold the&nbsp;<strong>Channel 1 SELECT<\/strong>&nbsp;button while powering on the device.<\/li><li>Select the mode and connection type:<ul><li>Rotate&nbsp;<strong>encoder 1<\/strong>&nbsp;to select the operation mode.<\/li><li>Rotate&nbsp;<strong>encoder<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>2<\/strong>&nbsp;to select the connection type&nbsp;<em>(USB, MIDI, or Network)<\/em>.<ul><li><em>(optional)<\/em>&nbsp;Use&nbsp;<strong>encoders 3 to 7<\/strong>&nbsp;for network setup.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li> Rotate&nbsp;<strong>encoder 8<\/strong>&nbsp;to
