That means to use it, you will need to activate its iLok license to either your computer or an iLok USB dongle. If you don\u2019t already have an iLok account, you\u2019ll need to create one and install the iLok License Manager app. Follow the steps below to get started. If you already have an account, pass these steps and continue to <a href=\"#Register-the-EastWest-license-code\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Register EastWest license code<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ilok.com\/#!registration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">iLok\u2019s registration page<\/a> and complete the registration form. Take note of your User ID and password. EastWest Installation Center is the central hub where you will activate, download, and install your EastWest products. This includes the OPUS and Product Support, which you will need to complete your registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Go to the EastWest support page and download the latest version of EastWest Installation Center for your OS <a href=\"https:\/\/www.soundsonline.com\/support\/updates\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/li><li>Open your downloads folder and launch the installer file:<ul><li><strong>PC<\/strong>: Right-click the Installation Center .<strong>zip<\/strong> file, select <strong>Extract all\u2026<\/strong>, and then click <strong>Extract<\/strong>. Double-click the new Installation Center .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions.<\/li><li><strong>Mac<\/strong>: Double-click the Installation Center .<strong>zip<\/strong> file to decompress it (this may already be done for you). Double-click the new Installation Center .<strong>pkg<\/strong> file and follow the on-screen instructions.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Download-and-install-OPUS\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader darkBlueHeader alignLeft underline customh3 swheader\">Download and install OPUS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f3f2f1\"><strong>NOTE: <\/strong>While you can download OPUS directly from EastWest Installation Center, it is recommended to download it from EastWest support page to ensure you have the most up-to-date version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once EW Installation Center is installed, you\u2019ll need to download OPUS. The EastWest OPUS software is where you will load all of your EastWest instrument libraries. You can run it both in Standalone mode and as a plug-in inside your DAW. EastWest has made the sound library activation process easy, so follow these steps to activate your new product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>In the EW Installation Center, click <strong>Activate<\/strong> located at the top of the application.<\/li><li>Click <strong>Next<\/strong>, select the library you want to activate, then click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Select where you want the library to be activated: your computer or your iLok.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right\"><a href=\"#\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"button flat s blue\">Return to top<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"Install-and-link-sound-libraries\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader blackHeader alignLeft noUnderline customh2 swheader\">Install and link sound libraries<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f3f2f1\"><strong>TIP: <\/strong>Some EastWest sound libraries are quite large, so it may take some time to download. We recommend not downloading multiple libraries at once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Installing the sample libraries (aka the sounds) comes second. You\u2019ll download the library files from the Installation Center software and compile each of the libraries into a single master folder. We recommend creating a folder and naming it (e.g., EastWest Libraries) for easy access and installing the sound library on a dedicated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/c774--External_Hard_Drives\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">external hard drive<\/a>. While using your computer\u2019s primary hard drive, it can fill up quite quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Navigate to your product in EastWest Installation Center.<\/li><li>Click the <strong>Download <\/strong>located next to the sound library.<\/li><li>Select the folder you wish to install the library. If this is your first library, you will receive a prompt asking if you would like to make that folder the default location.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Link-sound-libraries\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader darkBlueHeader alignLeft underline customh3 swheader\">Link sound libraries<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After installation, all that\u2019s left to do is link the sound libraries within the Play software and load it either in standalone mode or within your DAW. Without linking the libraries, you won\u2019t be able to play any of the sounds. Once linked, the EastWest installation is complete.
