This means updating the software settings to send and receive signal with your audio interface and MIDI controllers. If you aren\u2019t getting sound from your speakers or the software doesn&#8217;t respond to your MIDI controllers, the application&#8217;s settings likely need to be configured. Make sure those are set up properly so you can use your Native Instruments libraries!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To use your MIDI controllers with Native Instruments software, you will need to open your MIDI settings and turn each device from<strong> Off<\/strong> to <strong>On<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Select the <strong>MIDI <\/strong>tab.<\/li><li>Locate your MIDI controller ports and change them to <strong>On <\/strong>for both <em>Input <\/em>and <em>Output <\/em>tabs.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"Komplete-Kontrol-and-Maschine-MIDI-ports\" class=\"wp-block-cgb-block-customheader darkBlueHeader alignLeft underline customh3 swheader\">Komplete Kontrol and Maschine MIDI ports<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For Komplete Kontrol and Maschine hardware controllers, turn Port <strong>1<\/strong> on when transmitting MIDI over USB. Turn Port <strong>2<\/strong> on when transmitting MIDI over the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sweetwater.com\/store\/search.php?s=5-pin+midi+cable\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">5-Pin MIDI cable<\/a>.
