To update the firmware on your Deep Mind 12, go to the Deepmind 12 page<\/a>, click Software<\/strong>, and download the latest firmware. Unzip the downloaded file, and run the update application. The instructions below will guide you through the firmware update process.<\/p>\n

NOTE: *Behringer recommends using a USB connection to perform any updates where possible, however, using a MIDI interface is possible and instructions are below.<\/p>\n

**Please ensure that the DeepMind 12 Device ID is set to 1, this can be found in the Global -> Connectivity page on the DeepMind 12.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Updating the DeepMind 12 Firmware over a USB connection:<\/h5>\n
    \n
  1. Connect a USB cable to both the computer and the DeepMind 12.<\/li>\n
  2. Load the DeepMindUpdater tool.<\/li>\n
  3. Click on the MIDI device button and select the DeepMind 12 as the MIDI input and MIDI Output.<\/li>\n
  4. Close the window and click the Browse button.<\/li>\n
  5. Locate the file named \u2018DeepMind12-Firmware-v#.#.#-build.XX.syx\u2019, select and click Open.<\/li>\n
  6. Click the Upload Button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The update should start at this point, showing a progress indicator on both the application and the synth as each of the component images is uploaded to the DeepMind 12 memory.<\/p>\n

    Once the upload is complete the DeepMind 12 will prompt the user to turn the unit off and back on again to complete the update.<\/p>\n

    Updating the DeepMind 12 Firmware over a MIDI Interface:<\/h5>\n
      \n
    1. Connect the MIDI interface to the IN and OUT ports of the DeepMind 12
      \n(Note: A MIDI cable MUST be connected to the DeepMind 12 MIDI OUT port so that the updater can get a response from the synth).<\/li>\n
    2. Load the DeepMindUpdater tool.<\/li>\n
    3. Click on the MIDI device button and select the MIDI interface as the MIDI input and MIDI Output.<\/li>\n
    4. Close the window and click the Browse button.<\/li>\n
    5. Locate the file named \u2018DeepMind12-Firmware-v#.#.#-build.XX.syx\u2019, select and click Open.<\/li>\n
    6. Click the Upload Button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
