The buses on the X32 function similar to the way an Aux on an analog mixer does. Each of the buses will output to their corresponding XLR output (bus 1 goes to output1, bus 2 goes to output 2, and so on) by default although this can be changed in the routing menu.<\/p>\n

Below are two methods for sending an input channel to a bus as well as a brief description of situations where each would be useful.<\/p>\n

Method #1<\/h4>\n

This method is useful in situations where you only need to adjust a single channel. For example, if the lead singer wants to hear more acoustic guitar.<\/p>\n

1. Select the channel you wish to send to a bus.<\/p>\n

2. Turn up the bus send knob for the bus you wish to send that channel to. This will determine how much of the selected channel will be sent to the bus. In this example we are using bus #1.<\/p>\n

3. Turn up the fader for the bus you would like to use.<\/p>\n

The bus fader will control the overall volume of each of the channels being sent to it. If you are familiar with analog mixers, the bus fader is similar to an Aux master.<\/p>\n

Method #2<\/p>\n

This method is best for situations where you’re adjusting multiple channels at the same time. For example, when you are running two completely different mixes for your stage monitors and you need to pull all of the drums and bass out of one monitors.<\/p>\n

1. Press the select button on the bus you want to work adjust followed by the Sends on Faders button<\/p>\n

2. While the Sends on Faders button is flashing, the channel faders will adjust the amount of that channel that is going to the selected bus.<\/p>\n
